Fans of Tomb Raider are absolutely amazing! Honestly i've never seen any other games having soo many fan projects as Tomb Raider and some of them even beat games from properly funded AAA studios like for example Tomb Raider DOX by Nicobass and team.

I was literally listening to the soundtrack of Kula World yesterday. So nostalgic.

I think I've mentioned them before but can't remember where or when here's some TRLE's I like you might too: *Tomb Raider Anniversary Retold by Teeth* Back in the many years we only had Ash's collection of screenshots, video clips and documents to go by on Core Design's Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary Edition and we had no idea we'd ever play the real thing, the creator of the TR1 Texture/skin packs for TRA Texmod called Teeth decided to do it himself by recreating a perfect blend of both Core Design's TRAE and Crystal Dynamics' TRA in the Tomb Raider NGLE engine. We play as a recreation of Lara's TRAE model with moves taken from both Core's game and Legend, voiced by the woman, the legend, Jenni Milward in the first place I ever heard her. It's only the Peru episode as the game was cancelled partway through him working on Greece (a "deceased build" of this episode exists) but what we have is brilliant. Places from usually use Core's plan for them with the TRA ones taking over at appropriate spots. E.g. The intro to caves is based on TRA while the wolf bridge room is Core's frozen canal dock. Vilcabamba is a mashup of both the TRAE and TRA styles architecture wise, complete with an enemy that is rumoured to actually have been intended for Greece in TRAE proper. The cog machine uses the TRAE look while the waterfall and path to the valley is based on TRA and the T-Rex is killed with spikes, referencing the spike launcher puzzle intended to beat it in TRAE. Tomb of Qualopec is mostly based on TRA with a reference to Lara's Free Running wallclimb (vertical wallrun) from that game in the "chess game" room from TR1, but the main difference is unlike either TRAE or TRA, it uses a TR1 texture theme instead of a deep blue temple design or looking like Tutankhamun's bowels respectively. *Tomb Raider 2 Revised & Tomb Raider Anniversary 2* Not to be confused with Dagger of Xian, these are two TRLE projects aimed at remaking TR2 the way TRA and many TRLE mods do the first game. The former is based on Chronicles moves wise and goes all the way up to Diving Area while the latter only has The Great Wall and a unique Venice level in St Marks Square, showing how Lara finds the backstreets leading to Bartoli's from the original game. Both have their good points but TR2 Revised is more complete and neither are finished, likely both dead. *Tomb Raider Biohazard* Not as grand in scale as War of the Worlds, this is Tomb Raider meets the Biohazard franchise, with Lara fighting zombies in a mansion and its catacombs before running across the Umbrella corp. (but when? ;) ) I needed a walkthrough for this as it's very hard and confusing but the atmosphere is nailed and I love the finale too. *Tomb Raider 1 Unfinished Business Revised* Unlike the similarly named TR1 Revised, this remake of Unfinished Business takes the TR2 revised route of being a bit more clever with its level changes and scale. Jenni is Lara again and she's packing her TR3 arsenal. Unlike TR1 UB, the levels play in Phil Campbell's intended order. Lara's Home is the TR2 manor with TR3 textures, with her explaining she was finally able to move her crates out of the way. *Create a Classic: Sleeping with the Fishes & Thames Wharf* Remakes of those TR3 Lost Artefact and TR3 levels, expanded to look more like what Core intended for them, but couldn't have due to time and engine limitations. Both are hard to figure out without a guide and the former has interesting storytelling spelling out the environmental storytelling of the original level, this being where Sophia is sourcing her test subjects for mutant experiments. Also, there's a secret where Sophia Leigh comes out of a toilet in a nightgown, attacking Lara like the TR4 mummies. *Forgotten Remnants* A sequel to Angel of Darkness, Lara travels either to Castle Kriegler or a cathedral near the castle and the mines below to find more obscura paintings Eckhardt had made in case the previous were lost. ( I think, it's been a while since i played so I forgot the story) *Tomb Raider Afterlife* Predating the Myth of El Hawa, this was to bridge the gap between TR4 and Angel of Darkness, but so far only part 1 exists, detailing Lara's escape from the Temple of Horus. Lara doesn't get her pistols right away and feels weaker in general, it's very dark with scary atmosphere and the giant scorpions from TR4 are now her friends, attacking mummies for Lara and leaving her along as long as she doesn't harm them. Ammit and Set ambush you towards the end with the latter having music I can't tell is scary or cheesy, like a horror scene in a kids TV show like The Raccoons or Rupert (1990s version with the Professor). The final escape is hard but fun and is set to Dance of the Lux Veritatis.

I think like a lot of people from the UK and who owned the PS1; they share the same story as me. They played this on a PS1 demo disk when they were young and it has remained somewhere within their unconscious mind ever since. I must have played that demo dozens of times; dreaming about one day owning the game but even when I did get it on a copied disk (sorry Sony). I barely played it because something about it really unnerved me. The game has such an intense ethereal atmosphere which is elevated mostly by the music. The game didn't have an intro cutscene from what I remember and because I didn't have the booklet I had no idea what the plot even was; so your mind is left to wander and without explanation; the uncanny feeling is overwhelming. I know most puzzle games don't have story but the mood the music created kind of left an impression that there was meant to be one there. This wasn't Glover's soundtrack, the music is creepy and calming ambience and the locations you go to seem to become more dangerous and symbolic as the game goes. That's also another reason I never beat it. Way too hard for my young self. When I got a VITA I promised myself I would beat it and honestly? I didn't really feel all that much. The game is rooted entirely in how I felt being 11 years old playing it. There isn't much room left for anything else. But yeah, Kula World and TR were MASSIVE parts of my childhood so seeing them together is both wonderful and bizarre. All it needs is Kingsley from Kingsley Advenure and that weird Spider game.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I played as a literal child and have not been able to find any footage, turns out I've been spelling it wrong all these years. And someone has made a Lara Kula mash up, mind is blown x

Kula is Ukrainian and Polish for ball, among games named Soul Reaver, Syphon Filter and Tomb Raider, it was nice to play something that has a title that _makes sense._ Missed opportunity to make Lara roll around like a fool. xD

I'd never heard of Kula World the first time I saw "Lara At The Games" and thought someone had just made a deviously hard platforming TRLE because that's TR fans. Now I know the truth and I think I have more questions.
