Nice healthy looking windrows there, gonna be a lot of bales to pick up for sure. The ol' 328 seemed to handle those windrows pretty well. I agree with you on the bar type hay rake. Thanks for the ride along. Take care.

Wenn you speed the baler up a bit it works much better. The strain on everything geta less. Try it sometimes.

Man that thing is a hay eating machine! You said before you had many NH, how do you like it compared? I was hoping to see the thing you got the bales up with, guess that one will be next time!! Thank you for bringing us along, look fwd to more!!
@stinsonfarms67243 жыл бұрын
It does well. The one thing the 311 NH had over the JD is it would take the hay quicker. The JD does good but I can't push it like I could the NH. But I'm not in as big of a hurry as I used to be. I'll load the grapple video soon. Thanks for watching friend!!

Those are some thick windrows! The baler seems to handle them well! Glad you got more hay up and in the barn. It’s all fun and games till you have to pick them up lol. Good footage and another great video!

I had to run it 1st gear. Hay was good and dry though so no problems with feeding into the baler. I'll show how I got it up in the next video. I think you'll like it! Thanks so much for watching!!

Your hay is looking awesome! We dont grow hay for our cows (we are a forested homestead), but we got all our hay in for the winter, feels good. I'm sure it feels good to have a cut in for you :)

Looks great 👍. Why are you square bailing instead of round bails?
@stinsonfarms67242 жыл бұрын
I only feed a small amount of hay per year. I sale most of the hay. More money in square bales is the short answer. Thanks for watching!!

That’s the smallest of the John Deere balers, I’ve got one and I’m pleased with it. I bale behind a Tedder rake and can do 200 bales per hour but if. Push it beyond that I start breaking flywheel shear bolts
@stinsonfarms67243 жыл бұрын
This is the first John Deere I've had. So far I'm pleased. The plunger strokes per minute are less than on the bigger balers and want take hay as fast as the NH balers I've had but I'm not in as much of a hurry as I used to be. I'll only bale around 3000 bale a year. Thanks for watching!!
@billybrassel38143 жыл бұрын
I just bought a JD 328, I haven't started baling yet. First time planted of Wrangler Bermuda not quite ready. Really enjoyed watched your swallow up hay and spitting out the bales. How long are your bales?
@stinsonfarms67243 жыл бұрын
I had it set to around 40" but some turned out longer. It seemed the dryer the hay the longer the bales were. Going to have to play with it a little to figure it out. They were a little long. I've baled about 1400 bale with it. Pleased so far. Than k s for watching.
