I don't know if you noticed but the restomods that are on this channel are not cheap. This channel showcases the high-end level of cars that can be achieved with no budget in mind. Some of these cars are $500,000 to build. Of course you can build whatever you want on whatever budget you have. When I was a young man here in SoCal, we were building hot rods for $5,000 or less. Good luck to you. I hope someday you get the car that you desire.

Hell yes! I’ve owned these trucks when they were still just trucks on the road and weren’t “square bodies” yet. I have one now I’m restoring, a 4x4 K5 Blazer that I’m rebuilding for boost that will have a turbo. It was my preferred “daily” till I tore it down and in about 6 months it will be again.👍

Mine lasted MANY yrs of beating on even before finally installed a B&M kit underneath (new valve body, etc) Since then and running full synthetic trans fluid have put over 450hp to her for yrs now.

Sweet truck! My dad had a ‘74 C10 he bought new, and then traded it in for a new ‘78 El Camino, both colors he chose GM shit brown for. Why was that a color option then? Some guy down at the dealership like “hmm, you know I love the gorgeous blue and black models you offer, but do you have something that looks a bit more like my morning bowel movement?” “Right this way sir”

I've always been a fan of the 4L60E after building mine up 20+ years ago now in my S10 with a highly modified 4.3L at the time which has since been pulled in favor of either LS or Turbo'd V6
