The purple seahorse looks better with the round drills, but I think the rest looks better with the square, but I'm also half blind, so my opinion isn't exactly standard.

You're welcome. When I started diamond painting, it was always square is better for detail. I'm not so sure now!

Considering that the square one looked almost like a mystery painting back then with how little you could make out of it i'm not surprised that the round one turned out better

I'm surprised at the definition that the square did get, you are right, it was largely the one background colour for most of the piece. 🤓❤
