@gohelio Yeah the only PBS show I can remember offering real prizes was Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego

As kids, I suppose we didn't think that hard over what kind of budgetary issues these shows might have when it came to forking over dough for things like that (being a publicly funded production).

I once heard that this one kid was so nervous he was clutching the triangle humps very tightly and he wound open breaking them because he was pressing so hard due to his nervousness that they broke. Heck man, I'd have probably wound up doing the same thing. Why clutch them? The heat from the neon lamps under the triangles actually feels good on the cold clammy hands.

That's true (unless those broadcasters don't keep shutting down their services like Radio Canada International had to do recently).
@Marbles47117 жыл бұрын
Let's see...Cynthia had Triple Play, Larry had "But Who's Counting?", Chris had "Piece of the Pie" and later Beverly took it over. So that means Arthur, Reg and Louisa never had their own game shows, unless I'm forgetting about any. (It's been ages)
@viddykiddy18 Жыл бұрын
No that's true, on the latter part I mean. Arthur did Close Call and was later joined by Louisa, whom was later joined by Reg.
@Marbles471 Жыл бұрын
@@viddykiddy18 Huh. I remember a LOT of Square One but I have no memory of "Close Call". I'm sure I'd remember it as soon as I saw it, though. (Yes, here I am, 15 years later, lol.)
@Marbles47117 жыл бұрын
I know there was an earlier version and then a later version of "But Who's Counting", and that they were completely different from each other. I'm rusty, but if I remember right, originally it was another game show that had real kids on it, but was later changed to just having the other cast members play guests. And I thought Larry was the original host of it, but like I said, I'm rusty. It's been ages. And I totally forgot about "Square One Challenge"!
