There is a third very very very fast method for manual calculation. Just look at the units of the number then its magnitude and you'll know its sauare root. e.g. 8281 has a 1 in its units so its square root will have either a 1 or a 9 in its units. 90 x 90 is 8100 while 100 x 100 is 10000 So if 8281 is a perfect square then its squre root is either 91 or 99 Its much nearer to 81 so it is going to be 91 See no calculatin no memorization just open eyes
