I believe the siphon tube in the can is positioned into a corner so you can spray with the can tilted. Check just under the can tip for a black index marker. You line up the tip with the index marker and that ensures that if you're tilting the can, the siphon tube will pick up paint.

Fleet vehicles are white because it's a great base for lettering and logos. And easy to paint over for custom company colors.

No worries! Its a truck. My brother and I soon to do the same to a 75 crewcab. Right now it has a blue bed and brown 1980 front clip. I'll get turbo can white so everything matches! Came out plenty good and thanks for sharing!

Great video. My daily is a 1999 OBS three-quarter ton crew cab single wheel. It’s LS swapped and there’s only one other truck I would consider owning. A square body just like yours.

I have the same dilemma. I have a 2002 Silverado, white as well. It’s my work truck & all the paint on the bed has come off. It’s basically down to the metal. So I was thinking of doing this as well myself. Since some of the mobile painters in my area want $650 - $950 to paint the whole truck. I just want the paint to blend in with the rest of the truck & not be an eye sore

gonna be doing this on my 98 gmc 1500 and by the way check on the top of the van under the nozzle near the edge and if there is a dot point it that way it will help with the can getting paint when you are painting at an angle

How long you have to wait before you do any biffing /compound polishing. I am rung rust oleum but i have tried buffing after 3-4 days and it just comes off with buffing even with the smoothest foam.

Doing this to my tiny 94 Toyota pickup. Question: will the paint start coming off if I wash the car? Usually do my own washing.

It shouldn't come off, even with a pressure washer. I've washed this several times and it's still holding together just fine 👍

Not very common out here. Most are regular cab. There's one other one local to me and it's a diesel. Dozens of regular cabs though. I get compliments on it everywhere I go

Clear coat will protect it better and longer. I did not use clear coat
