Good to see you again. Glen seems to be holding his own too. Welding these panels takes a lot of patience. I can do it ok but have little fun so I would rather leave it fo folks like you that enjoy it. Likin yer style bud. That filler piece is perfect as you say.

@@NZMOPAR Easily done my friend. With the push to get ready for Sema Arco and you can tend to business and hopefully folks world wide will smarten up with this Covis stuff so the airways will open up and you and family can continue with your dreams and plans my friend. I would love to have a peek at the emblem designs you and Arco want for Rogue. If $ are too tight I can make them in copper so they can be anodised or chromed bud. Silver would be great but poss not all that practical eh.

Coming out nice brother keep on can't wait for part 2. I would have cut relief cuts to bend the metal glad to see there's another way to do it just keep stretching the metal.

Really enjoyed the video. I think yours is the only video on KZbin that shows close up shots of how the inner support piece is positioned/spot welded to the fender patch you welded in. I just finished repairing the same areas on my square body. How did you remove the bed from the truck and flip it upside down? I used an engine hoist to remove the bed and sat it down on the garage floor. Then I repositioned the hoist to pick up one side of the bed enough to be able to flip the bed over. I only had my wife helping me and it was really sketchy and dangerous doing it that way. I know, I was a dumbass. Any advice on a better way to flip the bed right side up when I’m done with the body work?
@OutlawEdge2 жыл бұрын
I had the bed on a delivered on a slideback tow truck and we slid it onto that dolly we made. But me and heidi literally flipped it upside down. It wasn’t easy lol. There really isn’t an easy way to flip them over cause they are heavy. Thanks for the nice comments brother. Take care! ARCO

@@OutlawEdge You live in some beautiful country up there in MN. I love living in western Wisconsin. I grew up here, moved away and joined the Air Force in 1986. Retired in 2011 and knew I wanted to move back. Glad I did.

Metal work is by far the worst step in restoring old cars and trucks, it ruins the project for me. Its tedious and aggravating. Swapping motors and doing upgrades is fun but fixing sheetmetal and doing paint and body sucks. I gotta give you credit though, you did a very nice job.

Should have just bought a replacement bed. $300-500 all day. Not worth the labor to fix that one IMHO.
@OutlawEdge3 жыл бұрын
Danny AKA Triker Red here in Minnesota the beds are 4 to 5 grand. They are impossible to find. So we had to fix this one. Or u have to drive to California to get a decent bed.
