Hello, It is amazing to find someone on this level on youtube, with this style of work. Watching you will give another dimension to my approach to woodworking. I thank you. If i may ask, can you tell me why you didnt use the festool domino on the inner stretchers of the base, you ised it on the separators on the cabinet? And I don't see you use domino at all, in places where vidually it makes no difference while it could save a lot of time. Can you tell me your principle please?
@squarerulefurniture9 күн бұрын
Hello! If you've seen my videos, the algorithm will probably guide you to videos from more creators ^^;; Thank you so much for your kind words. Domino is a really great and innovative machine. If there's a big difference, I think it's the difference in sturdiness and durability. It's not visible on the surface, but you'll spend more time touching the furniture and talking to it. Of course, it requires technology, takes a long time, and doesn't fit commercially, but I'm working on it because I want to make a little more stylish and sturdy furniture.

I am wondering why you switch between Lie Nielsen smoother and Veritas bevel up jack when you are planing the edge of the case on the floor.
@squarerulefurniture Жыл бұрын
Veritas products have a high polishing angle. It is optimized for twisted wood work. But it takes a lot of strength. On the other hand, the Linelson Planer can plan evenly, but if it encounters a twisted grain of wood, it will tear a little, so I used it alternately. Both are set for final finishing.

Hi. What kind of tree? Won't a lid of this length be warped after a while?
@squarerulefurniture Жыл бұрын
It is a North American walnut tree. Walnut has good dimensional stability when given an oil finish. The vertical plates in each compartment for the drawer rails hold the bending. There may not be variations, but I believe that it will be relatively stable and respond to the season for a long time.

How much in USD did you pay for the wood? I can't imagine... The piece is awesome...
@squarerulefurniture Жыл бұрын
It's not very accurate. I buy lumber generously for around 1000 dollars. Because the state of the tree is unknown, I buy it with a relatively margin. Depending on the condition and color of the tree, there are many additional pieces of wood, so I tend to give myself a margin and buy more than I need.
