Thanks, well explained. My question (for Squarespace) is why such a MAJOR change had a .1 version number. Why not 8.0 or even 10.0? Microsoft did this with Windows!

Question... I am on 7.0, I have never used the blog function but plan to do so starting in the next couple of weeks. If I start the blog in 7.0 can I carry it over to 7.1 if I design a site there later? or will my blog posts be lost?

I like Squarespace. But I wish they would give more options to customise the mobile menu. Like the hamburger icon, and the layout of the menu items in the pop up.

Hi! I’m new to Squarespace and using 7.1, I’m wondering if another difference is that you cant connect mailchimp without using code (which means you need to buy a more expensive plan) because its not showing up for me in the ways that it does in tutorial videos. Am i the only one, or have others noticed the same? Not sure if i want to be cornered into having to pay for squarespace email campaigns when I haven’t even launched a website yet...

Hey Linda! Yes, adding animations to your site is possible with Squarespace 7.1 🙂You can play around with this under "Design" > "Site Styles"!
