Thanks, Alex, well versed and explained, as is your trademark. What I desperately am looking for is search in the nav bar. You see that everywhere, the last item in navigation is a loupe icon or search text. How do I add this in SQSP?

In the actual main navigation? By default, you will probably need to custom code it if it’s not the logo or your navigation links.

Hi thank you for your great video. i am using 7.0 version/Bedford and my site header navigation sections have disappeared. I have tried getting it back but not able to do this. Will I need a code to add this back. Also my drop down button list is a mess so I don't know if this is a fault. Any direction or help would be good

Hi Dawn! Oh no, if you have added any code to your webiste, in the custom css section... copy and paste in a word document to save it but remove it! The header and footer should still be there! If you remove the code and they still are not there, then contact Squarespace support and have them help trouble shoot :)

Reduce the font size and spacing? Highly recommend keeping less than 5 links (including the button) in the main navigation).

@@meetdavidalex I'm working on a client's Squarespace 7.0 site with Template Skye - Indigo, and I wanted to figure out a way to use CSS or HTML to have their navigation options show up in the site header vs the hamburger on the left. The client does not plan on changing the template, she just wants the homepage and two sales pages built, which I can do, but I see that the template does not allow a NAV option in the site header without some major HTML configurations, which I want to avoid. They have an e-commerce store with this site and don't want the e-commerce store as the homepage anymore.

Great question, Derek! It may be that you are on 7.0 and this is 7.1... the newer version of squarespace!

I think square space makes it really hard to give yourself a free way of editing the header since these logo and menu tabs have only 3 to 4 limited templates. I still haven't figured out how to move the menu navigation down or up I guess you have to use coding to do so. Really disappointed with square space

If you want to customize it further, I recommend coding it. Honestly, those four designs they give are best for 90% of websites.

You can change the actual words of the menu in the pages panel :)
