I miss Shabana so much, always clever, never cheeky, loved his character on and off the court.

Shabana's ball control is superb. Seems so fluid and almost effortless.

@@squashtv please improve the player....... It's so slow and it hangs so often that most of the time I get frustrated and switch right back to KZbin, even though I have a full membership

So good. Shabana is fluid... Variation in speed, height, angles was brilliant to watch. Matthew played well but just had to hold his hands up to this Shabana masterclass. He and Ramy (and actually Willstrop) have been most exciting players to watch over last 15yrs for me.

Not gonna to lie, but I'd add Gawad and Farag as well. Crazy skill. Maybe Rodriguez and Coll for fun...

This court + lighting color combination offers the best digital viewing experience. Why isnt it used in more recent events

I agree. It’s by far the best look for TV. There must be a reason why the blue court is mostly standard glass court now. I just think this court is the best. Maybe the players don’t like it or something?

Shabana, ramy and power, arguably the three most gifted squash players of all time imo.

Squash video quality only became decent around 2012 so there's little to see of Amr Shabana's best years. Pleased to see this full match when he was still playing great.

What a wonderful match to watch. What I find very itneresting about squash is the way older champions play against the current champions/to be champions. Power/Palmer did to Shabana what Shabana does to Matthew/Gaultier. And the cycle repeats when you watch Matthew/Gaultier and El Shorbagy 2014 - 2016. The former champions have a measure of how to win using their sheer experience and knowledge of when to push their body. Further they seem to know exactly how to move their opponents around and tire them. The way Shabana approaches this game is a lesson for older players who are endurance wise weaker than their younger opponents.

I have known about Arm Shabana but somehow never saw his match videos as much as I have seen of El Shorbagy and Ramy Ashore, Guiltier etc … This match shows sums up what he was talking n the court… so much more easy and unhurried …

Really love Shabana’s way of playing, keep on playing some quality lengthy shots to wait for a sudden attack and win a rally

Masterclass from Shabana. Made the game look so easy and the simple things look beautiful. Cut from the same cloth as Roger Federer.

I see these two play love at the TOC in NYC. I met Shabana (sort of - was right in front of him, but didn’t have a conversation). I was surprised how small he was. The camera makes them look bigger, especially fatter - they’re incredibly thin.

I feel like everyones naturally a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to strokes for or against you, but Nick Matthew always seems like one of the biggest hypocrites - he'll gladly argue every stroke against him and yet gladly accept the cheaper ones given to him.

Matthew should have tried to seal Shabana's forehand. There was no pressure drive to the right back corner throughout the four games, while Shabana put tight pressure on the left back corner. And Matthew's misstep is another. The approach to the front on the left should not have been outbursts except for the absolute winning chance. It's Shabana's best place.
