I'm working on to hit the ball high on the front wall from the back of the court but with mixed results. Is it a question of timing the shot right so you are hitting the ball on the upswing? Still hitting it a bit flat and therefore short

Craig Orrell it's something easier said then done. Hitting high from back of the court depends on couple of things like how warm the ball is and temperature of the court and timing of the shot. Hitting high from front is easy and most of the time most effective because the ball go pass your opponent when he is in front or mid court but when your opponent is in back court it's difficult to hit high if your technique and ball control is not good.

Try getting much further down - bend your knees and watch the ball like a hawk as you make contact.

I'm sorry, but as an intermediate player, I didn't find this video helpful at all. All I heard was zones. The point about the second bounce was good, but it makes no sense to divide the wall into zones. Constructing a point, and tactics to trap your opponent would be of more help than random stats-like stuff thrown all over the place.

As an intermediate player you may find it difficult to learn as you are too busy teaching the coach to listen. Try to be more open to what the coach has to teach you.
