Paul Coll played nearly no errors and he played perfect counter drops when elshorbagy went short. the best i’ve seen paul caul play. insane. however elshorabgy has said in his instagram that he’s been going through some tough times right now concerning how he can’t play any events in Egypt in 2020 and the psa has been quite unfair so i feel bad for him. Plus they didn’t show his interview and he talked about how that’s unfair how other players got their interviews but not him.

El Shorbagy did not look quite at his best. But Coll did hit his shots amazingly well! Hope to see El Shorbagy come back to top form - at their best it's really between him and Farag these days.

Amazing series of matches. Can't see Gawad and Momen recovering in time. The toughness of previous matches largely dictates the outcome in these tournaments and is somewhat unfair on the players who make it through.

Great matches, all of them. Golan came very close, played very well, but the accuracy of Momen decided. An upset would have been nice for a change, but I do like Momen's playing style so still fine with me :). Same with Rösner and Gawad really, Rösner showing some great squash but in the end IMHO he misses the consistent touch and shot diversity that Gawad has. Great to see Coll developing his game to combine rally endurance with precise dropshots. Apparently Shorbagy isn't at his best but still Coll played very well. Kudos to Shorbagy for being an excellent sport, must say that his personality on court is exemplary. As for Farag vs Elias, was hoping that Elias would be up to it, I like his style of play. I do respect Farag's abilities, but his squash game is just so dreary to watch for me. Clinical, mostly unspectacular squash of just picking up nearly everything his opponent throws at him, and every shot he plays ends up irritatingly tight to the walls. Of course that requires a lot of skill, but isn't fun squash to watch for me.

While it is a win for Coll, I doubt he would have faired so easily against Elshorbagy if it weren't for the drama and unprofessionalism displayed by PSA. Unless issues like this are resolved and there is transparency and integrity in the board, this sport not being in the Olympics is quite well deserved. There is a reason why Squash is not in it: it's not the sport or the players, it's the way this organisation handles things.

We put in 16, but all in one form. The channel is still there but they’ve made all the videos private and the ones we claimed against have gone completely.
