In awe at what Farag did in this match. He would have been fasting for at least 12 hours by the time they reached the nail biting ending of the 3rd set. Unfortunately the break after that did not reach the break fast time of 6.13pm so he had to continue with a total glucose and water deplete body for the 4th set. It is almost a health hazard to play in those conditions but of course it is totally his choice to make. Coll is probably within the top 3 fittest players in the world. Incredible game, kudos to both players though, it was very watchable and a joy.

@@DirtyOatmilk he's used to playing while fasting. He won the British open for the first time while fasting. Shorbagy brothers usually don't fast. It's up to the individual whether they want to make up the fast later or continue the fast.

If you sign up to play a tournament, by doing so you (by default) accept all the rules, conditions, times, opponents etc etc etc.... the entire tournament doesn't bend the rules just for one player who volunteered to play!!
