Agreed. The no let against Gawad at 8:30 was egregious. Drop was not a winner and shorbagy not only didn’t clear but backed straight to the t rather than clearing at least one step to his right parallel to the front wall. That blocking move on a drop is usually a stroke. That is what I expected. “Shorbagy didn’t do much wrong there” really? other than a pedestrian drop and blocking rather than clearing I guess not😂🤷🏻‍♂️Glad the review cleared it up. At least a let. It’s weird. Johnny is former wr 15 I think and she is a great squash player as well 🤷🏻‍♂️. They seem to pick favorites but c’mon gawad is a former#1 and is brilliant in the front left corner and very diligent about properly clearing from it as well. I don’t get it. Then she says the let inappropriately rewards gawads movement into shorbagy. But if he/ they don’t move like that then they’ll say “not enough effort”.

Agree, who played the first shot? Shorbagy, so he has the first obligation to provide direct access to his opponent but he did not. To the Ref and commentors , Gawad does not have to look for a line to the left because he needs DIRECT access.

@@priktop8440At 30:35 In this case After that backcourt shot Elshorbagy ran backward to hit the ball However he didn’t know the exact position of gawad as he was running backward with his eyes facing the back wall In such cases there is a chance that u might hit your opponent in order to prevent this you should resist hitting the ball This is what was done by elshorbagy

At 24:29 Ball was coming where shorbagy was standing It was expected from him to clear the way However he kept still and that is why Gawad was given a stroke However, a lot depends on the ref decision Someday this shot might be a let too
