That Tamimi/Matthew rally is the epitome of why I love squash

17:05 the between the legs reaction shot from 3 feet away is simply inhuman

Agree, most impressive shot and reflex.

Not often you get treated to a rally down the forehand wall. Amr Shabana, the legend!

Shabana v Shorbagy is just insane quality
@simonburrows2404 жыл бұрын
Agreed. The way Shabana just pounces on the slightly loose shot is amazing.
@nohaahon89554 жыл бұрын
Shabana is the biggest giant of the modern squash, no doubt.
@fm13266 ай бұрын
@@nohaahon8955at a match between Matthew and Shabana joey pointed out"Shabana technically is the best player of the modern squash". He was simply so fun to watch so fluid in movements so severe in punishments so sharp in attacks and so true sportsman on court it won't be before long that a player of his calibre comes to daylight

I don't know the rule either. But Coll's facial expression at 4:56 looks like someone who landed on his... ehm... secondary raquet.

The ref stopped the rally because the sweat patch was dangerous. They’ll normally let it play for a little while to see if the non-diver can finish off the rally, but if it gets back to ‘even’ and the sweat patch is big enough or in a prominent place, the Ref can play a let for safety
@thatellipsisguy89844 жыл бұрын
PSA SQUASHTV and either of those was big enough on its own...

I find it hard to believe that Shabbana nor Shorbagy attempted a drop shot, seems like they were just keeping it going for the sake of keeping it going.
@graemenawn4 жыл бұрын
Not a big fan of the let for sweat patches on the court. If you are so out of position that you have to dive and leave a trail of sweat on the court you shouldn't get the let option. Give the let option only to the player in control of the ralley
@michazawadzki38134 жыл бұрын
Sefety is a priority and it should continue to be. You don't want any of these guys to tear a hamstring because of one stupid point.
@graemenawn4 жыл бұрын
@@michazawadzki3813 Then eliminate diving which is inherently dangerous. You can't allow guys easy lets when so far out of position and well behind in a ralley
@michazawadzki38134 жыл бұрын
@@graemenawn I agree. But PSA won't remove it anytime soon because of how spectacular it looks to most fans. I think it looks silly, breaks the flow of the game, and increases risk of injury.
