Thank you for this. There was and will never be a player like Ramy Ashour. Definitely not the 2012-13 Ramy. That insane ability to take the ball early will remain unmatched. He did to squash what Federer did to tennis

5:09 teenaged Sherbini in the crowd.. This game is not only right up there in terms of quality of the game of both the players, but also a great lesson in how to conduct yourself on the court with respect to your opponent who is trying to win as much as you are.

Wow, what a game. The pace change by Willstrop, the relentless attacks by Rami. Absolutely loved it. Thanks for uploading PSA

Squash isn't the same without Ramy absolute beast on court but still respectful when he wins could see him holding back his celebration. Legend 💯

How hard willstrop tried to get the ball high on the wall to get past him on backhand side but he kept hitting unbelievable high pace volleys from that hight only ramy can do that. Everyone talks about ramy's racquet skills but look at how fast and explosive he was to cover the counter and defend in case he has to. He was one of the most complete squash player of all times.

We are fortunate to have some of Ramy's matches recorded in a decent resolution, so we can watch how he single handedly changed the game. If Ramy were to ever read this comment, I'd like to him to know that he has appreciative fans all over the globe.. Best of luck to him..

Ashour was arguably the best player of all time. Would likely have won a lot more except for injuries hampering his progress.

Always disappointed that the 2012 British Open final wasn't uploaded to KZbin. And 2013!

Ramys strokes with the loose wrist must have been difficult to master. It helped him get a lot of power behind his shots especially on the backhand side. Also opened up some remarkable shot angles for him with the wrist flick. Wouldn't encourage a beginner to learn to play like that though cos it's a style that will produce a lot of tinned and loose balls if not properly mastered. Ramy was really the best at playing with this style.

Yes... one of the most inimitable players but also one of the most inspiring and fun to watch! Probably better for a beginner to emulate Nick Matthew or Amr Shabana.
