Good stuff bro 💪 since you mentioned wanting to squat more upright, do you ever do front squats? I feel like they really helped me be more upright in my squat

I have tried it. However, I struggle with my joint mobility. My wrists specifically, have ganglion cysts so it's rather painful. Man...I'm just getting old and doing all I can to combat it...lol! Having long femurs and tight ankles is my biggest enemy to depth and the ability to stay upright. I just want to do everything I can to legitimately increase my PR's with good lifts, build strength, and lose fat.

To be clear, losing fat and gaining strength probably on separate phases...very difficult to do both at the same time.

Great RPE in this workout dude. Try elevating your heels during squats and I think you’ll get better range of motion and should feel better. Also your standing on those cushy pads, that will reduce your force output through your feet, and it adds instability. Try standing on the hard ground with a couple small plates under your heels. This will require some footwear, I opt for low to zero drop sneakers. Although you could invest in actual lifting shoes which have an elevated heel built in.

@@kevinelivin I've used the elevated heals technique before. I'm trying to build my ankle mobility to gain depth.

@@kevinelivin I've used the elevated heal technique. I'm trying to gain more ankle mobility to get further depth. I need to build platforms for my squat rack and deadlift area.
