He was most likely on steroids and 40kg heavier. Steroids usage he will not admit, cause he would lose his medals. Nevertheless great sportsman:) And good that he looks healthy and happy now. Many his friends die or are ill while being very young (

Matthias, wie sieht das eigentlich mit dem Verschleiß an den Gelenken beim Gewichtheben aus? Hast du öfters Probleme mit deinen Schulter, Knien oder besonders Handgelenken? Ich meine, 100 oder sogar 200 Kilo sind überkopf, schätze ich, keine Kleinigkeit für Hand- und Schultergelenk. Mir gehts halt darum,ob man auf Dauer gesund bleiben kann, trotz hoher Lasten. Würde mich über eine Antwort freuen!

Hallo Lukas, mit der richtigen Technik kannst du trotz hoher Lasten auf Dauer gesund bleiben. Ich habe bis heute keine Verschleißerscheinungen. Deswegen ist es extrem wichtig, dass du extrem auf die Technik achtest!

I weigh 105 kg, 45 kg less than at the Olympic games.
