CHRISTMAS PRESENT UNBOXING and Guinea Pig Reactions! 🎄😍🎄

I've loved discovering your channel recently Sarah! I had guinea pigs as a kid, but honestly, I don't think they were well cared for; me and my mum were poorly educated on their care. However, over the years, I've owned a variety of pets, and so when some friends with children asked me to take their piggies as they no longer wanted them (and drastically underestimated) they level of care they require, I accepted! They were initially outdoors, but I pretty quickly brought them in. They are (in a too small cage right now) behind me in my WFH office, in the kitchen, so they get a LOT of attention and squeal loudly whenever I open the fridge. I almost always cave and give them a nibble of some veggies. I intend to increase their cage size soon (once my housemate moves out) and have really loved getting to know them and seeing them warm up to me. As an adult, I appreciate the work that goes into keeping them clean and happy so much more and have bonded with them very quickly. They are so sweet and I feel like they have so much more personality than I realised as a kid. Your videos are great! Your little herd are so cute! I have just spent a few ££ on amazon for my two lil dudes to improve their smaller space and make it more interesting for them. Can't wait! They are both about a year old, so still kinda young and I am looking forward to seeing how we continue to bond over the years, using your great tips!

Oh, lucky ducks! You can tell they were just so happy to get their new things. The wood house system is so neat! It was such a joy to see my piggies with their little gifts today, too--the younger one couldn't hold in his excitement. Merry Christmas!

My piggy LOVES those “random choice” fluffy mats. They don’t wick 😩 which I’m sure you know lol but I have about a dozen of them, and on chilly nights, I stick 1 or 2 around the cage where there’s only a fleece liner. 🥰 he absolutely loves them!!

Sarah, Merry Christmas!! Little Lyra lost her beautiful locks, how's she getting on? I saw the vet visit video, I know she has Cushings. The presents are so sweet, I'll have to check for that tent, I think my piggies will really like it. I also have 3 of those soft cushions you bought, the light blue one. They're O.k. to put randomly around, but I wash them on warm in the delicate cycle in a pillowcase, and air dry, they've been holding up, although I don't use them that much. Have a wonderful day with your piggies, and remember the true meaning of Christmas!

Obe of my piggies demonstrated a weird behavior when he had mites a few months ago. He would kind of shake his head and suddenly twist it to his one side or the other, without chewing or biting his fur, and then turn it very quickly to the other side... just back and forth repeatedly for a number of seconds. It would seem like a little funky seizure, like he couldn't control those movements. I ended up realizing he did have mites, gave him Ivermectin as prescribed, and those weird movements stopped. I believe it was a reaction to the itching. 😮 If you see any strange motions like this, consider itchy mites... 🤔 🥺

Wow I didn't realise that some of the "Naturals" treats aren't too healthy for piggies, particularly that corn isn't the best ingredient. I'll be mindful of this in the future. Would love a round up video of piggie treats & the best to buy.
