Abstract acrylic painting with the squeegee technique does not only work on large canvases. In the last video I showed the squeegee on a 30 x 30 cm canvas. The canvas in this video is a little larger, 40 x 40 cm, but not too big. Therefore, I used a wide cake knife to paint a squeegee picture in the style of Gerhard Richter, one of the greatest German artists for me. In contrast to his large paintings and large squeegee tools, my canvas is of course small. Nevertheless, even a small canvas and the cake knife as a squeegee tool has its pitfalls. However, I succeeded in creating a good image and colour composition in this painting. I hope you will also try the squeegee technique! LG
