Now these guys are what you call proper musicians and songwriters. Never get tired of listening to squeeze.

I played the Chris part on stage with Glenn in Sydney in 1999 at the Harbourside Brasserie; he was impressed that I knew all the changes.

This has been on here for 7 years? How did I miss that? I usually hate 'live acoustic' versions but this is fantastic. Glenn's voice is astonshing - I love this song. Beautiful. Great words, Chris.

Pure pop heaven. Great songwriters both of these chaps. I do miss the incredible drums and bass, but that's okay.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!! The drums are incredible (this is pretty incredible too).

I've only recently rediscovered Squeeze and was surprised that until recent years, Chris was the sole lyricist and Glen was the sole songwriter - a la Bernie Taupin/ Elton John (apart from where Jooles joined in I think).

What a terrific musician Glenn is. Very underrated as a guitarist...similar to Marshall Crenshaw.

MTV was once a music channel? Lol! They have created and ruined so many of them I have lost count. The latest is MTV Live which started out as Palladia HD. This channel used to show some great concert footage nearly 24/7 but they are slowly running it into the ground like every other so called "Music Channel" that they get their hands on. Great performance by Difford & Tilbrook!

This single wasn't even available anywhere in 1989,.no promotion on British TV, I saw a poster for it with the 2 goldfish and no record shop had it anywhere, not even Virgin or HMV in Oxford Street. I finally got that and Love Circles CD singles years later after paying through my nose for them (I had the Frank CD of course but the CD singles were nowhere to be seen). How can any band have a hit single that is not even available to buy in record shops? A&M really let them down big time.

It's that EV RE11 mic. It's a vocal mic with nothing below about 200 Hz, even when you get right up on it. Even worse, when the high-pass filter switch on it is engaged, it starts rolling off at 500-600 Hz. A really bad mic choice for any acoustic guitar. But then, it is MTV after all.
