Because after episode 3 it was massive filler and it focused too much on the X and O plot rather then the Boat plot besides that it felt very short compared to season 1 due to the progression of games being quicker

The boat storyline just spun its wheels without any forward progress, and we knew immediately that the captain sided with the gamemakers. Meanwhile any real suspense during the games themselves was foiled by the reveal who player 001 was. The first episode was at least an interesting character study. Overall, this season was just the first half of the second season. Not even a cliffhanger. And there is no third season, not really.

I am just upset with the ending. The ending didn't had any buildup. In ep 6 it didn't felt like the next episode is the last. As soon as the seventh ep started it still didn't felt last until the last 20-30 min fight scene. And the ending was not that good too. It was just gi hun getting captured and his friend getting shot thats it. 😭

I binged watched it with my mom and we looked away everytime it was about to get gruesome which was pretty funny, but we enjoyed every single episode. Every episode made me scream, stand up, and push me to the edge of my seat! Season two was impeccable. I loved how 001 (the front man) was more tackled and a lot of things were discussed and shown like how the boat captain might be a spy from the games! Can't wait for season 3, good job director.

i dont see why people didnt enjoy the ending. the whole point of Gi-huns friend dying was the frontman proving the point that playing the hero is pointless. bearing in mind that Gi-hun ends up copying frontmans ideology when he says they should sacrifice some players for the greater good by trying to infiltrate the headquarters. this is the entire reason squid game was created in order to sacrifice lives for the greater good. i think the cliffhanger ending was amazing!

I also can’t understand why some people are giving season 2 a low rating. Obviously, it’s not a season 1 but it still was roller coaster, we had new games, new friendships like the people wanted. What I was most excited about for season 2 was how they were going to transition the ending of season 1 to season 2. I wasn’t expecting a time jump but it makes sense now and I’m glad to see a few old characters. I for one, can’t wait for season 3. And the one question, I still can’t figure out is how in the world did they even think to check his mouth, let alone his tooth? I thought it was a flawless plan. Other than the “VIP’s” are already on their way. “Flying over us as we speak”. So after the huge gun fight, they should be down to 85 players. Maybe less. Last season, one of the biggest “Games”, was the “Glass walk way”. That’s also the 1sr time we see the “VIP’s”. So rebellion fails, games go on, and the Captains of Both Boats are messing with the drones. Leading the Cop in circles. This Captain just Happens to find that cop, at sea after he was shot. And fell over? Now, after 2 years, and knowing that ocean like the back of his hand, he can’t find his way back?? Nope, he was told where to find Cop, from “Front Man”.
