There is zero chance Gi-hun will go back to play the game in season 2. He thinks those involved are horrible people, which they are. I think they might have flashbacks to before season 1 and show somethings we didn't see, with the actors that died in season 1. The cop is somehow alive but I don't know how that could happen in a reasonable way.

I could relate to Tera fuming with anger against Sangwoo earlier because he did do a lot of nasty things to good people to get ahead, however seeing both Sangwoo's and Gihun's mums, I'm reminded of how much I love my own mum and if put in a similar situation, i think i'd do ANYTHING to win too. I think Sangwoo had set his mind to winning the pot (for his mum) and he's decided he'd do whatever it takes. Gihun started out as an irresponsible gambling addict who couldn't take care of his daughter and is a burden to his own mum. Sangwoo couldn't rely on him even if they've been friends for a long time. I think towards the end, Sangwoo realized that Gihun has changed and he could now rely on him so he is reassured that even if Gihun is the one who wins, he will take care of his mum too. After all, she's like a second mother to him.

I'm sure a season 2 will be epic and quite possible Gi-hun will get revenge/take them down, but that makes no damn sense. They're monitoring him so closely they know right when he's getting on the plane. Sure, he won about 38 million bucks, but when you pare that against the multiple multi-billionaires who run the squid game he's basically penniless. In reality, he wouldn't have a snowflake in hell's chance of achieving anything.

i imagine if there's a season 2 he'll team up with the cop that got shot in the shoulder and fell off the cliff into the water. from what i've heard a season 2 was never intended, it was meant to leave on that cliffhanger and leave it to your imagination. since it's so insanely popular they may do a season 2, but since it was never intended and will be forced, i don't think it would compare to season 1.

So glad to see this, I was like finally! Glad you are feeling better. I watched the whole season the first week it was out so it was cool to see it again in the new year. I am subscribed, it is easy to push a button, anytime I hear anyone say hit that button it makes me think of the girl from rush hour when she has the explosive vest on and she is like yeah come on push a damn button! Oh and don't worry about people saying you live in a box, as a kid I built many forts out of boxes and would play for hours imagining different things, it just means you are creative and fun and those people are jealous. Anyways, glad you are back, cheers!

A lot of those theories about characters not being dead are based on: we didn't see them get killed on screen. There is one about Ali as well. Maybe the police detective is still alive, but I don't know about the others.

Doug is correct. The director said in season 2, “Gi-hun will do something”. He will obviously try to take down the organization. He will most likely go to the police, and try to find the deceive he met. The season 2 will be about the frontman and his involvement. The frontman was a highly recruited police officer. He served in the nation police agency (similar to FBI) for seven years before being fired for bribery, subsequently winning the squid game. My theory is that the front man had gotten involved with black market organ trade in order to save his brother’s (detective) life, and taking bribery money to pay for it.

Now this show sure broke my heart at episode 6 and then at 9 I were still heartbroken that Sang-Woo did the things he did but I still understood his acts based on the situation. He at least had his redemption arc and Gi-Hun got his spirit back after Il-Nam died and he did his hear red as a symbol for this.. Don't know if you've seen it -but imagine how delightful it would have been if the recruiter would roll away on that train and they would say low in the speakers "Last train to Busan have now departed." :'D The one who spoiled at ep.2 should have been banned from Internet for life!!!!! F-ing H!!! Edit: Also, sorry for taking so long. I were on a bender and watched so many reactors follow Squid Game but at least I came back for you guys... And lastly, LOVE your dog! :)

Hey, so you're doing Hellbound next. Gotta check that one out myself. I wanna suggest another Netflix series, Stay Close. Based on a novel by Harlan Coben. It's a really great mystery/suspense just like all his books and all their shows based on his books. But this is definitely the most successful one, been number one on Netflix UK, and Netflix U.S. I highly recommend it. It's one of those things with so many twists and turns, and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Like I said, it's been very popular on Netflix.
