Ok so I'm just gonna throw this out there in hopes Seb reads thiss: I loveee that this is the first show you're reacting to on here, (i binged it in 2 days lol, great one), hopefully you start with other shows too! My suggestion is *Attack On Titan* . Gets you hooked from episode 1, amazing voice acting, top tier series with the most *masterful storytelling* , deep plot, subliminal messaging, fire animation, I've *ever* seen. Went into it thinking there's no way on earth I'd enjoy it because I'm not and never was into anime but DAMN it changes you! And that's literally what every single other non anime watching reactor said about it! It's considered one of the best shows of our generation. It would be a shame for you to miss out!! Season 4 part 2 (the final part of the final season of the entire show) comes out January 9th. Trailer just dropped today too lol (don't watch it obviously haha). But my point is, it would be super cool for you to start from now and then you can be in the same boat as the rest of the world as we watch this creation break the internet! I just jumped on the bandwagon like half a year ago back when the hype for S4 part 1 was major and i have definitely not regretted it since. I don't think I've ever been invested in a show, the characters and storyline as much as i was with this one! It's absolutely unbelievable and i hope you take my word for it!! I've even spread the word about it to multiple friends and made them obsessed as well haha. Plus it would bring an entire new community and fan base to your channel cuz people are crazy about this one, and rightfully so! Hope you take this comment into consideration :))

This kind of "forced to play a death game" story has been a very common plot device in Japanese media for a long time, and presumably it is in Korean media too. It's well-suited for manga because it's a story you can stretch out and cut up over dozens and dozens of installments. A lot of movies and drama are based on manga. It's quite funny to watch Westerners freak out over such a venerable genre. Examples off the top of my head are the recent "Alice in Borderland", GANTZ, Joker Game, the Kaiji movie series, obviously Battle Royale, Quiz Show, Liar Game, and Incite Mill.
