@@awonddy hell yeah, that’s my favorite too. It had the aesthetic and feel of the first game but with a much better combat and difficulty and Vergil is one of the best antagonists in video game history. Best thing capcom has ever put out.

Sad that Ruben isn't doing Dante's voice in the series but they got Johnny Young Bosch (who voices Nero) to voice a young Dante so it should be interesting

I don't see any particular issues with the quality or the animation studio in general. There is the voice actor who isn't Dante's voice actor. However it is actually Nero's voice actor who is voicing this Dante. So it might come around to get used to, could just be their younger version.

@@henrybrun936 yeah I’m more worried about the characters and story. I loved Castlevania and the same guy who did that is doing this but I also hated nocturne which he don’t work on but still. So I’m on the fence which will it be, I don’t mind mid so long as it isn’t bad. That said animation, except for cgi motorcycle but I’m not worried about that, looks great and I actually love that hero is getting to voice Dante especially I’m in the camp that thinks dmc 4 is heavily underrated

@@Riseofziggy Oh yeah, dmc 4 is heavily underrated. Wish we had more information about the other characters, though I will hope it will be characters we've probably seen from the 2007 anime or from the games themselves.

I never played a single Castlevania game before tha anime came out and was completely enthralled by its lore and character and atmosphere. Devil May Cry is made by some of the same people that made Castlevania. I have played a little bit of Devil May Cry 4 and 5 but never completed them. If the DMC anime is anywhere near as good as Castlevania then we’re in for something special.

The castlevania anime completely butchered the lore, ruined alucard so bad their was an uproar in japan and konami had to release a new event in their gacha game to hammer home that alucard is only interested in his girlfriend. They made it some weird fedora tipping LE CHURCH BAD garbage when the games where about good christian boys throwing bibles and crucifixes at monsters and with no shame using the power of God to smite evil. They also ruined richter, turned him into a crybaby and did all kinds of weird nonsense that's no where in the games. If you like that trash then the awful reboot, DmC Devil may cry would be more up your alley. Another western adaptation that completely misses the point.

No it isn't. The first devil may cry was going to be resident evil 4 but halfway through development they decided dante was too cool and good at killing things for the game to be considered survival horror so they switched him from being a genetically enhanced cop man to a half demon guy that hunts demons.

Worried about the devil may cry one. It's by the same people that did castlevania, and that was one of the most disrespectful of the source material adaptations I've ever seen. Konami don't care but Capcom might just a hair more, if only because they remember what happened with the DMC reboot that tried to appeal to westerners.
