I liked those parts. It really built of the tention and animosity between the 2 sides. If they didn't have the voting, the situation between Thanos and the crypto bro wouldn't have kept escalating, and the little war between the 2 sides wouldn't have happened.

They let everyone leave mid-game last season, so there was a possibility that the vote would succeed. It wouldn't shut down the island for good, but maybe they could've found some clues to the island's location for the mercenaries on the trip back. There *were* interesting things they could've done with it - they just chose not to add much value to it other than the betrayal of people switching sides and wearing the betrayal on their chest in the next death game. No one purposely killed someone that swapped sides; plus the mother/son betrayal and the bullied kid/big sister betrayal both went nowhere, so it feels like a waste of time in hindsight.

It just didn't seem like a plot twist that the hero would fall for again. Especially after his first vote is the one who keeps the games going.

Second he called gihun by name but yet gihun so willingly believed the lame excuse he gave. Based on what Il nam the old guy tells him after the first games there's been almost countless games at this point and the only reason Il nam joined was because he was already dying. Think about the games in season 1. All but the marbles game would have had Il nam dying out in the open in front of everyone and the only reason they were able to disguise his death was due to the walls from the town layout. If he had lost in any other game it would have been very difficult to hide his not dying. Due to this is doesn't make sense for them to have a plant in every single games they run. On top of that since they (the game planners who control everything ) choose the numbers themselves not necessarily in the order the people join the plant if there was one could be literally any of the other 464 or whatever numbers and wouldn't need to be #1. If this was the 3rd game he'd been in and the other 2 had known plants yeah absolutely be suspicious of #1 but this was only his second game and everything he knows points to a plant being the exception NOT the rule.

1) The S1 old guy didnt really do anything bad to Gi Hun. 2) Theres zero reason why Gi Hun would think that 001 is another patron/staff member. It goes against his goal to keep as much people alive and end the games AS A WHOLE CONCEPT which he is preoccupied with while trying to survive. The only sus moment is when 001 knew his name, but frontman did explain it. 3) The frontman went extra to convince Gi Hun he is a player, and he did so expertly.

@@TheKaijuKing54 It was intended to be a single season, though. However with it blowing up the way it did obviously Netflix wanted more, and honestly I'm glad; not for the series itself but because the creator barely got paid for the first season. Hope he got a fat paycheck for the second one.
