I had no idea they were still updating tropicraft :0! This is amazing to see some people still know about this mod, I remember playing it for HOURS as a kid just sitting on the beach and watching the sunset all the time :-D .

DrZharks Mo's creatures was an old favourite until it wasn't. That's the origin of Minecraft horses, but in that mod you could get unicorns and Pegasus and manticores and other awesome pets. NEARLY EVERYTHING WAS TRULY TAMEABLE, unlike current Minecraft where the mobs are just there. Alex's mobs is the spiritual successor extra animal mod, I love those grizzlies so much.

2:15 Pineapples actually do grow on trees. That's just what the tree looks like, it's very small, and only yields "one" pineapple. I put one in quotation marks, because 1 pineapple is actually a bunch of individual berries that grow out of the side of the trunk (that's what the solid core part of a pineapple is) and grow so closely together that they end up fusing by the time they are ripe, resulting in a mass of tangy goodness. It sure as hell looks really weird though.

Eeeee no. Most of what you said is correct except the first part. Pineapples DON'T grow on trees. They are monocots in the family Bromeliaceae, the same one as bromelias and puyas. One characteristic of monocots is that not a single one is a tree because they don't produce wood, most of their stems don't even grow in width (palm trees for example, where the width of the stem is the same in a ten years old specimen that just started growing up and a 100 years old one that has 20m of stem). Some of them, like Yucca or Dracaena can get wider, but even then, it's anomalous secondary growth, as they don't produce wood. In the case of the pineapple, is a mostly stemless herbaceus plant, not a tree by any means. Only gets tall when flowering, the same as with most bromeliads. You seem to know what a pineapple is, so I guess that what you don't know is what a tree is.

I totally recommend people check out this chill dimension! :D I just like looking at the fish and swimming. 🤙 I think one version had their own ocean water that had a lighter tint. Some things that were missed 1. Tropi creepers explode harmlessly into flowers! Squiddo wouldve loved this. 2. There is a drink mixer! :D There are also coffee bushes and those trees speckled with colored dots actually drop different fruits when broken 3. There are tropicraft villagers on the ocean 4. There are giiiaaant volcanos~ 5. To get to this dimension, you need to chill on one of those beach chairs at the shore with a coconut-pinapple drink at sunset. No, really. My favorite “portal”.

Dude, I used to LOVE tropicraft. I have fond memories of locating volcanoes and looking at every possible drink. I played before I got into survival mode, so that was most of it, but I’m so glad it’s still alive and ready for play today.

It makes me so happy to learn this mod is still being updated! It was one of my all time favorites when I first got into mods and I just assumed it wasn't being supported anymore. I love how they incorporated the new minecraft content into the tropicraft world instead of having 2 types of bamboo and such.

Pineapples are bromeliads, which means they're technically more closely related to grasses like wheat and rice than they are really ANY fruit tree: citrus, aplle/pear/peach/apricot/cherry, berberry vine, vitis fruit, etc

Tropicraft probably didnt get so much love, because it was overshadowed by a much more impressive one back in the day, that was bundles with it / dependant on it; The Weather Mod, that improved the weather effects and added full on Tornadoes
