I bought one of these 2 weeks ago ! I am amazed. The guitar is really of a good quality, versatile.. the brown sunburst looks really nice. The amp is very good as well !! It is a 15W and the amps selector as well as the FX knob give hundreds of tones. You just can't get borred with it. And yes, the amp has also some cool backtracks to jam on. You'll be happy to get close to SRV tone with this gear at this price :) Cheers.

You and Nevada Music give excellent, thorough reviews. The G-DEC Jr. is a cool little amp that is great for practicing without all of the complication of having to mess with parameters and sub menus. I saw a used one on Ebay at a bargain price and bought it. I love it--it's so easy to use!

ok so for all the professional guitar players, I been playing for about 3 years on acoustic, self taught (by which i mean i learned how to play through songs I listen to) and i feel this is this is the time to make the leap into electric, now I been doing my research a couple of things outside of the obvious would you recommend this, one i keep reading about the squire's not lasting long and setting up the guitar because it's wrong from the factory and could i fix that

The guitar shown rotating at intervals has all bridge string lengths equal and therefore won't be intoned properly.

josshlegg Well Yeah. Unless u feel confident enough to take on u'r own set up or can find and pay a luthier somewhere, it is important to receive u'r guitar set up properly either at the factory or if not by the vendor.

yes. its the same pack but the fender champion 20 is a much better amp with more effects

I just got this exact guitar and i've noticed everywhere i look on the internet it has the sort of scratches on the black part of it. Is is supposed to be like that?

It is probably the protective film on the pickguard. You are supposed to peel it off. The longer you leave it on there the harder it will be to come off. I thought it was scratches too at first. The film is also on the black piece on the back of the guitar and on the pickups. It is also on the Fender logo and G Dec logo on the amp. Fender really protects their products. There will be a little bit of the film left underneath the knobs on the guitar but you should be able to get most of it off without taking the knobs off. I didn't take the knobs on my guitar off to get the all of the protective film off. And by the way this Strat pack is AWESOME!!!!!
