nice review Please do a review for the Squier Affinity, Blue body white pickguard, HSS Pups, Maple Neck and Fingerboard, there are only 2 reviews on YT for that Guitar and they're not so satisfying. Also for the Fender Duo Sonic, Sand color and gold pickguard. God bless your channel.❤

I feel like I scored a great deal, 2005 Squier Bullet Strat, used for $ 25. After some truss rod adjustments and straightening the neck out it actually plays OK. The 3X single coils are just OK, I don't think they sounded as bad as the 2x Humbucklers. Anyway, the roasted maple neck is a nicer appearance than these satin finished raw maple. And I can tell by the clam shell that the newer versions of the Squiers are made with inferior steel & chrome at least in that piece of hardware. As for the bridge saddles, my 2005 came with the old school style Fender saddles, chromed and not stamped with the Fender name on it. Which that leads me to the tuners on the neck. Mine has the Fender F laser etched on them. That's another area that modern 2016+ Squiers appear to have skimped on. Generic tuners in the modern Squiers tend to make you feel that's a corner that was cut. I think if you can find an older guitar with life still in it, it's worth buying one for even less than a more modern new one. Mine was really a risk to buy, the truss rod hadn't been adjusted ever and the bow in the neck was elf shoe like. This poor 2005 the screws were backing out and that was a risk that they weren't stripped out in the body. The neck was even loose, look for neck pocket cracks in the paint for the body. I bought the guitar more as a backup, practice for both learning guitar & doing the Luthier skills. So for me the $ 25 was money well spent,learning on something that if I made it better somehow, I certainly couldn't screw it up any worse than it had been neglected to.

bullet mustang will be 2 humbukers, the vintage modified mustang has two single coils
@bringbackthe1960sppl7 жыл бұрын
Ive had both. This guy is amazing for the value. The vm is it's own little thing tbh. pikcups are very nice and bell like. no contour on it btw. its aheavier guitar and nice. This guitar is exactly like a 1969 mustang and it feels pro. Definitely recommennd this guy more with mods. tuners work decently and the pickups are not bad. But there has been some problems with some on the frets because they rust a bit, but nothing big.just sand it down nicely whenever. definitely recommend it. the hard tail is very nice and you get a flatter radius on them which is surprisingly well suited on the mustang
@jay_thedog_man51697 жыл бұрын
Would these be good for surf or would I be better off spending more money for the vintage modified mustang??
@vissercustoms31257 жыл бұрын
if you really wanna play surf, get a vm jazzmaster
@lorenzoblacksher69547 жыл бұрын
Surf is almost more about the amp than a guitar. I'd say it's a 60/40 thing. Spring reverb is a must, preferably tube driven. The guitar can always be modified to adjust to a surf tone. But generally, any fender stye single coil guitar is gonna be surfy.
@jordy2x_6 жыл бұрын

A bit of an late reply, but anyways. I wouldn’t play surf with any guitar that has humbuckers in it. A single-coil pickup will do the trick.
@theWARMJET3 жыл бұрын
its possible, but you can go better with a single coil guitar, bettter note definition

Jazzmaster or Mustang guys? I'm a beginner
@kristofmolnar3814 жыл бұрын
Someone correct me if im wrong. I recommend the mustang because it has 1 more fret ,has a more iconic look, more lighter weight, easy to play and better sound(in my opinion).
@Fiddy_Too4 жыл бұрын
@@kristofmolnar381 in my opinion the Jazzmaster is much more comfortable. They both have a near identical sound overdriven in the bridge position (which is why I love them that mountain lion growl just gets to me), but neck and middle sound different. Really the question lies on whether your body size and your wallet match one or the other.
I cannot say about the Jazzmaster, but I have the Mustang and it's like the dream beginner guitar. Very light weight, 24" short scale, 12" fretboard radius (i.e. flat fretboard) and it's setup with light gauge strings. All this means it's SUPER, but SUPER easy to play and learn with it, I jus't don't want to put it down. And more over, for the money it cost it's just a bargain.
@FirstNameLastName-pg3pi4 жыл бұрын
Paulo Aparício I recommend the *Jazzmaster.* It’s easy to play, comfortable, extremely versatile, and just beautiful. The mustang would be good too, but the *Jazzmaster* is better honestly

@Fiddy_Too4 жыл бұрын
Problem was the one playing 's rhythm was off and they weren't using enough of the right distortion. These guitars were built for handling alot distortion so, when you have a light crunch it sounds bad. They still should have messed around more on the clean and higher distortion parts for a better demo.

Are you talking about the Mustang or Jazzmaster? I can agree if you're talking about the Mustang. The Jazzmaster has much more value and has a much more comfortable neck. Edit: I may be partial since I own the Jazzmaster. I've played both tho and I don't have as much love for the Mustang.

Cade Troëne thank you for the answer.I was not looking for tuning below drop D...initially I asked because I was wondering if I could get the guitar to play metal.In the end I figured out it is a great guitar for Indie rock but regarding metal and classic rock I am propably looking at the wrong thing..it has such a nice shape though!!

Very poor review. If this kind of play and talk is heard by new players, i'm afraid we'll have a generation of non-musicians. These instruments are capable of producing good music in all genres. By talking down to the audience you are not doing them any justice or to the instruments. Think before you go on camera !

They are terrible guitars. Cheap to buy but you have a dumb a ton of money in them to make them civilized. They hurt the ears and the weird and the Affinity neck is bad.
