I bought one. For $150 of course it’s a steal. It “checks all the boxes.” Super fun to play. Only issues (and you can’t really bring these issues up for a $150 guitar) is for me it’s difficult to get a good “clean” sound and it doesn’t stay in tune. This is a great platform to mod however and all of those “issues” are easily fixed. Again, cant complain for $150. Overall, it sounds great. Of course it has dual humbuckers so I wasn’t really expecting the nice clean twang of a single coil anyway. They also make the Vintage Modified for a bit more for that reason any way. Nut, tuning machines, pickup swaps would all make this $150 guitar run with the best in my opinion.

Since my 72 Fender USA Stratocaster was stolen and as a pensioner I can not buy any new one I bought this Squire Bullet Mustang. For the price of 129.- EURO in Germany there is no better guitar. Was skeptical at first because of the Humbuckers but this humbuckers sound pretty clear and clean not like the dark sounding ones of a Gibson Les Paúl. I'm very happy with the guitar.

I've had one for a few months. I play it all the time. I'd say it's better than Epiphones in the same price range. They feel cheap in comparison. I own a Les Paul Special as well and the Mustang feels better. Didn't even have to set it up while my Epiphone is getting a truss adjustment next time I feel like swapping the strings. The Affinity Jazzmaster HH is pretty good too for an extra $50. From what I've been playing around in the stores lately it seems to need to get into the $500+ range before you get things that are noticeably better. Pickups aren't the best but you can swap those out easily if you want to perform with it.

Its a short scale and overall small guitar (Just look at how huge I am compared to it haha. It's like Shrek playing guitar haha.) Some people find that smaller string spacing makes for a less clean/articulate experience. I've played lots of guitars so it was fine for me, but I think its worth you trying out. Its such a cool little guitar. If you have larger hands, or longer fingers, I'd suggest you try a different guitar with a flatter fingerboard radius.

Should i buy this or yamaha pacifica 012
@ProducerDudes
@ProducerDudes 5 жыл бұрын
Hey! Sorry it took so long to get back to you! It depends on what your needs are! haha, the pacifica is a 25 and a half scale length, like a fender strat or most other guitars. The mustang is a 24 inch scale length, so its much shorter. If you have short arms or little hands, it may be more comfortable. The mustang will be easier to play in my opinion, and has 2 humbuckers vs the pacifica and it's hss (humbucker with 2 single coils). The pacifica is more versatile and will probably cover a lot more ground. I would say the pacifica, but I love strats and super strats. Yamaha makes some amazing guitars and prices them very affordably. Both options are great. If you can, make it to a guitar shop and try the two out, ultimately you'll like one more than the other. If you like it, you'll be inspired to play, and create more music! Let me know which one you end up with!

If you're son is still a bit younger, this guitar has a shorter scale length and could be comfortable if he is still growing! Nick Spitzley the woods are probably much less of quality, aside from the classic vibe level stuff, hardware and electronics are not of the same quality. They might come from different manufacturers. There's a good list. But I will say a good set up can make this better than a poorly setup $2000 guitar so long as the set up is true.
