Got one, sunburst tortie. Good enough to support a pickup upgrade, installed the Fender PV '63, it's now on the bleeding edge of amazing. Thinking about a Jazz to take the place of my lockdown Chinese Partscaster project. Also got a CME exclusive Late 50s CV, the pickup is nearly bang on a '58, completely different character from 60's one

i did a review on it as well: your findings in your description mostly mirror mine. I didnt think the tuners were that bad nor great either. I was pleasantly surprised on how much it felt like a vintage instrument

a fine instrument. I bought one a month ago with birthday money. I prefer to roll back the tone control so there isn't as much string scratch and emphasize the 'bass' tones. to each, his own...
