I bought one some years ago. Although quite affordable the overall quality of the Thinline is nothing else than fantastic. Especially the neck and low action are outstanding. The stock humbuckers leave room for some better replacements. Since the stock "reissued" wide-range humbuckers do not have a standard humbucker size you might want to buy another pickguard for standard-sized pickups (for having more options). I settled (after having tested 12 different humbuckers) with a set of humbucker-sized, cheap no-name P90s from China. I also switched the bridge saddles with massive brass saddles what gave me better sustain. These mods added less than 100 bucks to the purchase price but improved the sound in a phenomenal way. Verdict: I highly recommend this guitar for players who are looking for a versatile guitar with a low weight and top-notch playability.

I have this model - it is quite superb. I've always been a Strat-man but this Squier Tele has trounced the Squier Standard Strat by absolute miles. I suspect they come fitted with 9's but I've recently moved to using 11s or 12s so will change to one of those when I need to restring. Great demo - the tones you get are very accurate and match exactly what I hear on my thinline played through a DV Mark amp. I also find that (again unlike the Squier Standard Strat) the tone control on the thinline really does provide an extremely wide range of tonal changes. 10/10 for a very well balanced review and demo. Good job.

Hi my friend? Just what I needed. Someone to play it so you can see what it will do, thanks. I really thought this guitar with the natural finish is a beauty and now I know what it can do. I already have a Squier classic vibe stratocaster '60's so I need the humbuckers. There's only one other guitar that I also like and it's a Yamaha Nexstar standard. It's going to be one or the other. Great video 👍

Great demo, really showcases the juicy sound of this guitar. I'm starting to seriously consider buying this, ome thing I noticed was that the neck was strangely thick (which I liked). Dont know if it was an illusion cause the specs say "C" profile, but it was pretty thick, especially on the sides.

@PseudoPseudoDionysius
@PseudoPseudoDionysius 4 жыл бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, the '60s-style version has the normal Tele single coils so you're gonna get a slightly more biting "traditional" Tele sound, whereas the humbuckers on this '70s one make the sound a little "fatter" and a bit warmer, although as someone else noted here it's still definitely retains some of the Telecaster sound. The humbuckers might be a little bit more versatile depending on what kind of music you want to play, but the traditional tele set-up might sound better to you. Both are supposed to be pretty good guitars though, so while they are different, you won't go wrong with either of them. Good luck!

@keithconville5460
@keithconville5460 2 жыл бұрын
I know this comment was from 10 months ago, but the CUNIFE pickups are true to the first wide range humbuckers and will not fit a regular humbucker routed cavity. You will have to route it out to fit those in there.

@@haysfordays take the pickguard off and measure the route. The newer ones are just routed for regular humbuckers from my understanding. However, my VM 72 thinline has the same cover dimensions as the CuNiFe. So, I could be wrong with these. The mounting lip adds some length to them, though.

I actually bought this a week ago as my first telecaster - I was going to get the fender version but heard good things about the classic vibe series so I figured I'd I liked it enough I'd upgrade. Returned it after a couple of days. I wasn't impressed one bit with the wide ranging humbuckers. They were much too weak. It's put me off telecasters even though I know the fender variant would play much better.

@EricCPOP
@EricCPOP 3 жыл бұрын
@@ricardocalmza Hi Bro. You know what actually? Upon receiving the guitar I did an immediate inspection and it became apparent that the guitar was in a pre-owned condition. There were all sorts of scratches and dents. I called GuitarGuitar (a large and popular UK Vendor) up to complain and they admitted they had sent me a pre-owned guitar such that I should have been made aware. I was not pleased in the slightest. What made it worse was that they told me they could refund me a mere £30 if I wanted the guitar as there wasn't another one in stock. I wasn't having it. I did get a chance to play it though briefly before returning it. The pickups were good but not great. Mids were creamy but highs were low I thought. My SG Epiphone standard actually sounds more even in tone and just has that pop though I guess the 50s pickups have something to do with it sounding not as hot. Anyway, I decided to fork out for a Gibson albeit a Tribute Les Paul model (the modern variant with the trapezoid inlays). Now that's a guitar. The pickups are better sounding and it's so clear. It's so evident how much in a different class Gibson is to Epiphone in terms of tone especially when bending. The clarity is there on a Gibson and it just sounds fuzzy on an Epiphone.
