Squier Debut Live Show

A few things that strike me as interesting (or at least notable); -Only one string tree. Cheap Squiers usually have 2. -No plastic insert in the truss rod cavity. Not a big deal, just a thing I noticed. -The middle screw holes for the trem cover plate on the back aren't offset like most Squier/Fenders are. -The paint is one place where they saved costs. It probably won't take long to have a relic look. I might get one, but I'm not in a hurry. It would make a decent mod platform and I have all kinds of parts laying around. That's the nice thing about Strats, their modular nature.

Kinda hard to beat. For one thing it's got a proper Fender shape headstock. New players don't know how lucky they are today being able to get such capable guitars for so little money. Cheers!

Living in the UK. Your can buy a Squier Debut Telecaster around £125 sterling.

If you are looking for a Strat…buy this guitar! Just got mine. Love it! Fit and finish is perfect. Neck is perfect! Nice guitar, especially for the money. Should cost more. 🎸🤘🏻

I bought one of these just for the body. I loved the color of the Dakota Red matte finish. I have pictures of what I did on IG... I put on a new 70s sstyle neck and replaced the scratch plate with a loded one from a MIM strat. I want to replace the bridge if I can find one w/a short block.

Just got my ‘red’ one today and it’s more of a maroon color than red. I like the guitar but not the color not so much. The matte finish is great, frets are smooth and I’m liking the pickups a lot. They sound really good on a clean setting on my Yamaha THR. It’s a well made guitar and a bargain price. Buy one and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Just FYI, you mentioned the Fojill Strat, and it's a much higher tier Strat than this one, at least mine is. I got the Fojill Mahogany light relic Strat for $119 on eBay and it's amazing. Obviously, it has a mahogany body (an awesome tone wood, it turns out, the sustain lasts forever), a roasted maple neck (with a very FLAT rosewood fretboard) and the highest quality kluson vintage split post tuners I've ever used. The guitar could sit for 3 weeks without being played and I can pick it up and it's still in tune. It could probably go a lot longer. It also comes with a really nice padded gig bag. I dumped the stock loaded pickguard and put in one I made with alnico v pickups and a wiring harness with big fat pots and thick braided wires. With the mods, it's nearly as good as my MIM Fender.

I’ve noticed that strats with laurel fretboards have a lot less sharp fret ends than strats with maple fretboard.. I guess it could be a coincidence

I seen somewhere that the UK has three versions of the Debut. One is a Strat like yours, another is a Debut bass, and I can't remember what the third was, but guessing a Tele style.

Why buy a monoprice strat now? Squier is a real Stratocaster

Your telling me a big company like Fender can't throw in some accessories and better packing and no stainless steel frets when every other company is moving that way is to keep making excuses for Fender. If all this is what you're looking for just save up and give Fender their inflated prices and buy an American made and be done with it.

No . You need to use an allen wrench to adjust truss bar. If not familiar, you should take to guitar shop.

@@AJgeartalk Yes I know you need an allen wrench to adjust the neck but I don't see where you do that. I didn't see a place to adjust it at the headstock or at the heal of the neck. So where do you put the allen wrench to adjust the neck? I'm guessing you have to remove the neck to adjust the truss rod at the end or heal of the neck.

Okay I see it now. Had to enlarge video to see it. Guess I'm getting old. Was hard for me to see because they didn't put a different color wood at the end of the hole like I have on my Sonic although I think it is plastic on my Sonic.

Affinities, have large headstock, 2-point trem, split shaft tuners and gloss finish. Slightly upgraded guitar.
