I recently bought one. Most amazing neck feel and amazingly balanced in terms of weight. Love it. Thanks for the lovely review and great playing.

I have a 60s CV Strat in blue and it is my favorite guitar. Comfortable, great sound, and the neck just feels right! Build quality is better than the MIM Strats .

Hi, would you mind giving some details, which aspects of the CV are better than on a MiM Player Strat? Cheers
@CitizenSoldier5002 жыл бұрын
@@followyourpassion8378 yea i have both and although it's pretty close, it's not better than the mim. they do weigh about the same.
@followyourpassion83782 жыл бұрын
@@CitizenSoldier500 thanks, have had both and sold by now. Actually, the MiM Strat came set up very nicely and almost played itself. My Performer Tele and Pro Strat are not as easy to play.

I've just recently got myself one of these, and I love it. Sunburst finish is amazing. The neck plays like butter and feels so comfy in the hand. The pick ups have a great twangy tone on clear output, but give it a BD2 pedal or a wah blasting out of a Marshall and its Clapton and Hendrix heaven. Wouldn't part with mine.

I bought one last September as I needed a new hobby and I haven't put it down since, same colour with 40w blackstar amp and its perfect for someone like me just getting into this gutair world, and am 45 so I like the classic look.

I'm about to purchase this as my first guitar or a bullet. Since I'm a beginner wasn't sure to invest $450 or $180. Do you have any regrets?
@transmissionggb28202 жыл бұрын
@@LabLover677 no not one regret, I am glad I went for that guitar.
@transmissionggb28202 жыл бұрын
@@LabLover677 if you want a guitar that you can use as a beginner then progress, this guitar will go the distance. I think if you bought the bullet you would need to buy another guitar or upgrade it if you keep progressing.

@@transmissionggb2820 thank you. I ordered the vibe 50s strat white blonde. Now I need a simple amp. I was looking into headphone amps.
@transmissionggb28202 жыл бұрын
@@LabLover677 you made the right call, the classic vibe rage is well worth that extra bit of cash and will be all you need, you will be glad you went for that instead of the bullet strat, they are good but things like the tuners are a nightmare so once you start playing you won’t have to tune it every time you play a bit.

I have a CV 50s Strat which, apart from the fingerboard material, is practically the same as the one in this video. Mine weighs next to nothing. The frets and nut were perfect out of the box. I shielded the cavities, so it picks up no more hum than any other single-coil equipped guitar. Easily good enough to gig with.

Well, you know... I'm not really looking fordward to buy a guitar right now. But you are so good to hear! Your playing, but also your spirit, man! ☺ One can actually feel one is the one playing and enjoying the vibe! 🤠 So, keep up the good work! 😎 And I'll get a guitar as soon as I can to rock as you do!
@Zeal8082 жыл бұрын
Just got a sunburst 💥🙌🏾👍🏾👌🏾 Sweet water is the best honestly. Your guitar will be taken care of. Set up is perfect 🤩 right out the box I wouldn’t change anything personally. Only thing I did was change the strings to 10’s, oil the finger board and polish the frets a little.

I’ve found the addition of an equaliser pedal with just a small bump on the bass levels brings out a lot more of a fuller tone from the cheaper fender pickups. Cheaper and more versatile thank dealing them out because their response is very good

Personally as far as strats go im a olympic white or sunburst guy (or the black with a black pickguard and black pickups lol which i modded myself) BUT if i had to choose between the coloured ones i would have to go with Lake Placid Blue the 40 anniversery ones is beautiful with the inlays and gold hardware it just looks amazing to me

If you want an american fender strat - dont - buy this instead. its a much better deal and the neck is legendery on the CV ( mapple ) pick ups sound the same as USA. Smart ST player buy CV.

Seriously Electronic upgrades Pickups and tuners And possibly a bridge upgrade and I would also have the fret ends rounded off No need for usa strat
@jimx1696 Жыл бұрын
@Nightshade1881 makes no sense Strat 400 + pickups 200 + tuners 100 + bridge 100 + electronics 100 + fretwork 250 = 1150. Literally the price of a American Performer. Throw in a case for 300 = 1450. The price of an AmProII. You get what you pay for!!!

I think that Tonemaster Super you've been using for demos . . . sounds like crap. Too bright, no low end, no dynamics, wimpy harmonics; why not use a real amp?
@DerEchteBold2 жыл бұрын
So it's the amp?! For many years everybody said how great these Classic Vibe Squiers were but I never saw a demo where one actually sounded good, so I assumed it's the guitar that's crap.

I think this guitar looks good but honestly, I have never liked the sound or feel of any Squire I have ever played. The wood for the body is not even alder it's Nyatoh wood, used for cabinets and some times cheap acoustic guitar necks... mostly because it's a soft wood. You are better off with a fender (with alder or ash body) strat American or Mexican made. That's what I buy, and I have been using them exclusively on stage for over forty years...I also swap out those stupid modern C necks for a soft V with a 9.5 radius and sometimes swap out the pups for 59 pure vintage, tex specials/ tex-mex or 54 vintage reissues. Then I Plug it into a decent fender amp i.e. Fender Bassman, Blues jr., or a fender blues DeVille 410 and you've got Killer sound. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace
@underrated50065 ай бұрын
Where do you buy the soft V neck from? I am a little tired of the modern C necks as well, but I do like the MIM strats.
