That's the one thing I hate about staying in resorts down there. They all do that, serving food that I can eat at home in NY 🙄but the resort looks really beautiful.

Agree with Chloe regarding the food and the point is the guests want authentic food,thats what they come for..She was on point about the music too.Bob Marley is not the only Reggae artist.We have great reggae artists alongside..Still had a fab time tho and have kept in touch with a few of the amazing staff..

I agree about the food at Jamaican Resort Hotels. I want to have some good ackee and saltfish and roasted breadfruit and too. You have to drive off the resort to find that. Which you can do if you have the time. If you are there for a wedding long weekend, of course you don't have the time. But bredda, what are you doing sleeping on a pull out bed? I didn't even think they would have those at a resort in this category. Need a room upgrade for sure on your next trip. Bless up.

And yeah lol I had to use the pull out bed cus I was sharing the room with my lil cousin so I just gave him the bed but I slept on the sofa bed in Royalton and it was soft idk wah GP didna think with their sofa bed option lol

I have to disagree with you about the food. Grand palladium has numerous options as it relates Jamaican cuisine. My family and i spent 8 days and 7 nights at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton In April. We ate at all 3 buffets and we had a variety of food, there was ackee and saltfish, rundown, boiled food breadfruit, callaloo , cabbage, kidney, liver and other stuff. There is also a Jamaican restaurant 'XAYAMCA' that served only Jamaican food. we had curry mutton, Pork and every other Jamaican food there is. Also, GP is not a small property, so staying for a weekend won't suffice. We stayed for 8 days for our annual family vacation plus 2 weeks for my honeymoon and we still don't know everything about the hotel. It is our home away from home. As well as liquor, i have had to send back drinks because it was too strong and i'm a drinker. The music was not an issue either as there were both reggae and dancehall by the pool area and around the hotel, especially at night parties.

See this video is over a year old so ima say that they watched it and upgrade the place lol jp but thank you for sharing your experience because everyone always have different experiences while traveling to hotels. When we was there the music was mainly hip hop, at the pools it was dancehall for a hr or so if most and the food was okay. 17 restaurants is great and I didn’t get to true them all but the buffet when we went hardly had any Jamaica food

This is very surprising, they probably changed the menu. I was there last summer and I was able to get ackee and salt fish, kidney, liver, fry breadfruit, salt mackerel, fry dumpling... if they did, that is very disappointing and really takes away from their service, I don’t know if I’ll be revisiting because I want the traditional food..
