Squirrel Buster Plus in North Mississauga

Squirrel doesn't realize that its weight is preventing him from getting any food. Great bird feeder and seen other videos with this type of feeder. Saves allot of trouble of doing baffles and greasing poles, etc.

12 years later, many refillings, cleanings and it's still out there doing its job. The squirrels have figured out that they get the spilled castoffs though.

Best feeder ever! I had so much confidence after researching feeders that I bought TWO of the Brome Squirrel Buster Plus feeders. NO squirrel has gotten to the seed nor did they 'shake' any seed out. I am so happy with them that I am ordering their Peanut+ feeder. I wish they made a Hummingbird feeder :)

Wish I had bought this before I bought all of the other feeders that were ravaged by the squirrels and blackbirds. Would have saved money. This feeder is perfect! As for seed droppings...I have a cat that's a mouser who takes care of that. LOL!

Feeder's still working well. But there's a new problem. Dropped bird seed is being taken by mice and the mice have found a way into my basement. 8(

Almost 2 years now. The best they've been able to figure is that there are a few scant seeds dropped when birds are messy or if they jump at it. But it seems the effort isn't worth it and they give up. There are plenty of teeth marks and scratched paint but no squirrel has defeated it like they defeated the feeder half way through the video.

Squirrels are smart about wasting time -- he'll give up on this feeder eventually. This is the best feeder out there. Pricey, but you'll never have to buy another - they are guaranteed for life (and they stand behind their guaranty!) - Bird man - not a paid shill.

The problem I have with this feeder is that the perch ring's diameter is a bit small so bigger birds like cardinals, grosbeaks and woodpeckers have a hard time getting to the seeds because they have to perch sideways to the openings. For smaller birds like finches, chickadees, nuthatches and song sparrows, the size of the ring is ideal.

I say get a 4 x 4 treated lumber and a section of 10 inch PVC pipe 10 feet long. Dig a post hole two feet deep away from any trees or limbs. Mix a bag of Quick-Crete and set the treated 4 x 4 in the hole vertically. After the concrete sets slide the 10 inch PVC pipe over it. Attach a shepherds hook or long length bracket to hook the Squirrel Buster Plus to. At least 2 feet or longer out into open space. Now relax and watch birds instead of squirrels on your Squirrel Buster Plus feeder.

@MatthewLP2 Around $90 for the feeder vs the $20 for the other feeder that was destroyed by the squirrels. 4 to 5 of the other ones vs one of these. I suppose if we stuck with seeds that weren't interesting to squirrels, the cheaper would've sufficed.

Your squirrels will beat it eventually. the best way for it to be squirrel proof is to make the squirrels not even able to reach the feeder in the first place. My feeder has had a baffle for two years and there hasn't been a squirrel on it
