Went to Falconry association picnic. Went really well gonna study for state test and go from there

There's a unwritten rule in Falconry. ONLY ONE "GOOD GIRL" PER CATCH. All kidding aside, this was a very entertaining video. You crack the squirrel with a rock? Squirrel bit though the glove? You check for 'NADS' for gender? You indentified your intentions and thanked us for watching, B4 watching? The video had everything. Great job! OSH

old school hawking I hit that joker 3 times with a 3/8" ball bearing. The 3rd time he leaped off the tree with the redtail in hot pursuit. I made in as fast as possible and it bit the upper and lower part of my glove on the ring finger. Luckily that's a total of 6 layers of cowhide and it didn't penetrate. I felt a squirrels jaw strength and it's impressive.

Its Ben ;-) I am an apprentice. My sponsor and I trapped this bird September 2nd 2016. We are in Georgia.

Ben Hill dang it. I'm in Ohio and I've been trying desperately to find a sponsor. I finally got a hold of the devision of wildlife and they gave us 2 people that can sponsor me but we cant get a hold of them even tho I know one personally cuz he worked with me at the Cincinnati zoo

I would suggest joining ohiofalconry.org. Study and pass test, this will show perspective sponsors you are serious about learning this sport. I studied the California Hawking Club Apprentice Manual. I suggest order it and study!

Ben Hill I thought you had to get a sponsor before you can take the test?

Not in GA you dont. By taking the test and joining your local falconry club, it shows your local general and master falconers you are serious about becoming a falconer and this is not just a "passing fancy".
