Buddy of mine had built Chatterfang not too long after it's original printing, many jokes about going nuts were made. "Squirrel-amania is running wild" was my go to phrase when he would pop off. Glad to see there's some new toys in the yard for the little dudes to run with.

Maskwood Nexus turns all the other tokens into squirrels. and all the squirrels into rats. i think that's the underrated gem in this deck. all tribals become collaborative

The ceiling for the sword or the squeak is way higher than 3. You get +1/+1 for each 1/1 you create. Every squirrel or rat for example. So it can make a token massive in late game if you're playing token doublers.

Nutty precon, can't wait to play. I'd definitely take it into an aristocrats direction. Add Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Savra Queen of the Golgari, Mazirek Kraul Death Priest, Warren Soultrader, Blood Artist, Mirkwood Bats, Pitiless Plunderer and some other aristocrats spice and watch my opponents flip the table when I make a stupid amount of squirrels, drain everyone, heal myself, while making lots of treasures and bringing stuff back from my graveyard. Also since everyone will play small creatures due to these token precons and the offspring mechanic I'd maybe add a Massacre Wurm to make people even saltier.

Also, don't underestimate sword of the squeak. Because it cares about base power, if you have 15 tokens, you can easily get a trample squirrel, rat, mouse or hamster that deals a ton of damage.

My first thought when I saw sword of the squeak was chatterfang. With chatterfang as commander, add in a doubling season and parallel lives into this deck and watch the squirrels go crazy. It can get out of hand quickly. Give chatterfang, trample or flying if you're playing someone who isn't going to be affected by forestwalk and he'll run over everyone with commander damage.

@@meb212 The base power thing can be easy to miss. It got me on the face commander for the Jeskai deck which boosts itself for each creature you control with base power 1. In both of these cases, if you're using anthems and counters to boost your go wide army, it doesn't matter. The base stats are all that matters. That 4 letter word makes a world of difference

Hazel is ridiculous. Academy Manufactor is an auto include. That way, you make a bunch of tokens for her mana ability to get more outrageous. I can tap all my clues at no penalty and even all my treasures to keep them around and not sacrifice them. She provides mana in any combination of colors, so it's basically like treasure mana anyways. How about turning the life payment into an upside and drawing a card for each life you pay with Vilis? And any repeated untap cards will just be icing on the cake here. Seedborn Muse, etc. Hazel in Jund says infinite combat with relentless assault (but you also need some lifelink or food tokens to stay alive). It's cool, but also these cards just keep doing way too much and take no effort to break anymore
