44:44 - This fairy tale is referencing "The Snow Queen", which is what Frozen is very loosely based on. In "The Snow Queen", a group of demons make a mirror that reflects the worst in those who look in it. The demons try to take it to heaven to see what the mirror reflects when held up to God. However, along the way, the mirror shatters and the shards end up in people. The shards have the same power as the full mirror. Two shards hit a young boy (one in the eye, one in the heart), causing him to become cold and cruel. His best friend, a young girl, is upset by this. One day, the boy ties his sled to a big sleigh, which turns out to be the Snow Queen's. She take the boy to her castle and his friend goes to rescue him. When she gets there, (after many adventures) her tears free him from the mirror shards and they go home.

Book of Atlantic was released in 2017, Twisted Wonderland was released in 2020 (English release 2022). It's possible that Twisted Wonderland was in pre-production when Yana wrote 131.5, but I have no idea how smartphone video game timelines work.

I think in "the Butler-Requested" Yana is referencing the danish fairytale of the snow queen ("Die Schneekönigin" in German) by Hans Christian Andersen in the last part with lizzy.

43:20 Frozen is based on "The Snow Queen" from Hans Christian Andersen the same author of "The Little Mermaid". So you have your answer. Its another classical fairytale and one of the most famous children's stories in the world and has nothing to do with Adventure Time or Lava Girl... hope i've helped.

44:07 The reference you looking for is Hans-Christian Andersen's the Snow Queen funfact he also wrote the little mermaid, I don't know when exactly he wrote these stories, but he died in 1875

26:42 Look at the tray with the empty plates and bowls in Ciel's nursery. There are two of each. For comparison, Rachel only had one of each on her tray ;) Maybe the twins ate together? Or did O!Ciel really manage two complete menus ...
@PocketLeaves14 күн бұрын
I do think it was put in as a hint that there are two kids, implying they did eat together. But could you imagine little o!Ciel eating that much? Just being handed all sorts of food to make him stronger and promote growth the same way my grandma tries to give our kitten more food, so it'll grow more.

New video! Poor Ciel, getting a tooth pulled! I had to pull a few very loose teeth when I was a camp counselor. That only worked when the tooth was basically holding on by a thread. I had one camper ask me to pull a tooth that wasn't ready at all and I had to tell them no.

2:30 based on this comic she would have to be 15 or 16, which makes sense as she is slightly shorter and skinnier than Finny 3:40 Peter's love is sightly toxic 4:03 I think in Australia its not really a thing, unless you grew up on a LOT American SatAM 5:04 I love how embarrassed 'Freckles' got during this story 7:54 Agreed, love that Wendy is picking on Peter, I don't know if they are supposed to be siblings, friends or a married couple but their background dynamic is hilarious 8:26 Like I said Peter's love is slightly toxic, but its clear that Doll survived her childhood in equal parts because of him and Joker 9:24 I damaged my teeth from cleaning them too much, one of which got so badly infected I had to get it pulled, the dentist had to use three times the amount sedatives and even then I still felt the tooth come out (it didn't hurt though) I have no idea how I have a tolerance to sedatives though the dentist got angry that he had to use so much sedatives on me, it must be expensive stuff 9:53 I too laughed at this scene 11:36 I think it gave Peter some characterization, it certainly explains why the others consider him a friend 15:41 Vincent was actually accusing the elder twin of taking them and giving them to the younger twin... At least I'm sure that was the implication, I can't remember where that's implied 17:26 Americans, freedom to do everything except say certain words its an interesting duality, though for something to be considered a slur it has to be used in a derogatory manner, though yeah you don't want to be taken out of context, you could use 'muster' instead as that is the correct alternative saying 'drudge' is just poor grammar 18:47 I wouldn't be surprised if its revealed the older twin actually is being manipulative 19:30 Agreed, as for the canonical love between Diedrich and Vincent (based on the fact that Yana was surprised everyone found the married man sexy) I think Vincent loves Diedrich like a brother, he just loves gay jokes 21:23 Beautiful reactions 22:21 It could be both..? 29:39 I saw it more as Sebastian looking for ways to manipulate Ciel, like copy Vincent's mannerisms (we know he copies some of Tanaka's) 32:00 I got the impression that the elder twin has a possessive kind of love, though I don't think it was negative at his age or even his fault when he comes back as a 'not-vampire' 35:32 We do? I mean I don't hate it but I do prefer what Yana did with Victoria and Grey over what she did to Kelvin and John Brown (also fun fact Victoria is actually Queen Victoria's middle name, her real name was Alexandrina and at this point John Brown was her secret husband) 35:30 The Victorian Era had a LOT of chronological snobbery towards the medieval period and its during this time that a LOT of the disinformation about medieval torture and the Chruch burning witches begun, though to iterate a lot of people were burned as witches by peasants and criminals and the Church did burn their enemies (heretics) alive just to clarify, they did LOVE the medieval Gothic atheistic though, in fact a lot people associate the Victorian Era with Gothic atheistic as result of this 35:40 I just noticed that the editor has sticky tape on his shelf, now I have to research if that existed in the Victorian Era 35:50 Arthur has a little brother two years older than Ciel named John, I think in Book of Murder Arthur calls him something different. Based on my limited research sticky tape is an early 20th century invention, not a late 19th century... So close Yana but no cigar 37:34 Yana was cooking with those mermaid designs 37:51 It is a really cool Sea-Witch/UT design 38:48 I like that Ciel's grandmother is the Queen and I'm glad you brought back that headcannon you were cooking when you came up with that, also fun fact in the oldest version the of the Red Riding Hood story there is no wolf, instead the antagonist is a much older boy that tries to 'surprise snuggle' his 'friend' after she turns 14 39:52 Red a damsel? In the oldest version of the story Red saves herself from the older boy and in the oldest version of the Brothers Grimm version there are two wolves one is killed by the Huntsmen and the second is killed by Red and her Grandmother 39:56 That's actually a really cool Little Red Design 40:52 Blood dyes fabric black not red just a fun little fact 41:40 Love that the female Landwehr are the stepmother and stepsisters I just notice that Wolfram is the godmother XD 42:00 Perfect references and choices 42:33 Genderbent Harcourt's appearance hasn't changed 42:53 I know Disney confused things but Aladdin is supposed to be Arabic not Indian, also I knew Mey-Rin was Chinese before her backstory just like I knew McMillian was Scottish, its all in the name 43:40 They seem to be based more on the Victorian Era versions of these stories rather than the Disnefied versions (did Disney even do Little Red Riding Hood?) speaking of Disney I lately found out that 'Black Hole' my favorite Disney movie is now public domain, I don't know what to do with this but I'm enjoying this fact 46:43 Agreed Yana made great designs all around in this chapter 48:36 Very cool panel 56:26 This chapter feels like a callback to the first three arcs 1:04:37 You just can't help reference the fact you're a hardened-criminal ha ha ha! I like the first two seasons of BB even if I hate what they did to one of Australia's (and Britian's) most legendary figures. To return to a previous conversation we had, western anime media companies are starting to fire their racist/xenophobic localizers, however it seems to be that they intend to replace them with AI instead of just hiring more nobler creatures.

Hi. U missed two more chapters which were very short but was never present in the manga volumes. One chapter was called "with father" I think where Vincent was reading his son's adventures in a book that the undertaker gave him. Another chapter was about a Ciel figurine where everybody was advertising his figurine doll and that how much cute and fragile it is (but I forgot that chapter's name). I got those chapters in my PC lol along with these. Oh and btw, there was a short story of Sebastian pulling Ciel's teeth out so hard that Ciel's mouth was filled with blood and it wasn't fanfic. It was drawn by Yana but as a sketch with several individual arts or panels or pages, however u look at it. It's not usually considered as a chapter as it was drawn in a yellowish page like most of her other random sketches but it sure was a story of ciel, tanaka and Sebastian.

Vincent and Diedrich look like a old married couple, did Diedrich marry anyone? That'll be very strange in the 1800s if he didn't...maybe he's just not interested in women? 🧐
@PocketLeaves3 ай бұрын
As far as I know, Diedrich hasn't married? It's not really mentioned at all in canon. He's either single, or his spouse isn't relevant to the story at all. Not sure what Yana Toboso has in mind for him outside of what's shown.
