I finished the first season months ago. After watching the first season, I began watching the second season (After Story) but stopped at Episode 4 because of academics. One month and few days after the last day of classes (June), I resumed watching the rest of "After Story" season. Yesterday, after months of watching the whole series plus OVAs with interruptions, I finished them all. In the end, I gave the entire Clannad series a grade of perfect 10 for everything, including the emotional impact and giving a big scar in my heart that led me to cry in the scenes that are deemed sad.

One major reason I cried so much while watching this anime along with its sequel is because of its soundtrack. I cried in 10 different places and I rewatched the anime three times and cried each time. Keeping water nearby is a good idea. Oh, and I felt depressed for a whole week after finishing Clannad After Story.
