You can register that thing as a farm equipment. The way it turns over soil is magnificent. I've seen tractors that couldn't do as good a job.

It happens to the best of us! That monster sprays one the best rooster Tails I have ever seen. I have been mesmerized by rooster Tails and the tracks they leave from the very beginning. I'm lucky I never ran into anything because of looking back at my rooster tail all of the time! I'll always be a Honda CR man but I have to admit the Kawasaki kx500 and this Maico 490 are things dreams are made of. Was not aware that Honda copied the Maico 490 engine. What a beautiful Engine with those huge cooling fins.

That bike is beautiful. Last time I did that was on my xr100. Dad was on the back. Now mind you I could ride this bike with my eyes closed. He said dont pop that clutch it will throw me off. Well making me nervous as he always does when he says not to do something. I dumped it. He was mad. Bounced his head of the ground. He grounded me and sold the bike shortly after.

He wanted to ghost ride that thing so grabbed a handful to see if it would hook when it comes on the pipe. My 82 KLT 250 has a Keihin carburetor. Beautiful construction and quality. All my other Kawasaki and Suzuki bikes were equipped with Mikuni carburetors very nice as well. And occasional drain of float bowl is really all they need. Tunable and easy to disassemble and clean they are marvelous engineering.
@glenbreaks544810 ай бұрын
I have an 82 490 Maico mx with Ohlins rear. It came with a 38mm Mikuni carb fitted and the original 40 mm Bing in a box. It ran well with the Mikuni however the local Maico shop tuner and mx rider said they always go best with the big Bing fitted. I recall he said that " with the Bing in place and tuned properly, acceleration will be..... brutal." I followed his advice and yes, the acceleration is now brutal, something all 69 year old kids need and enjoy!!
