SR20-Swapped Nissan 240SX - One Take

I can't believe we've done so many of these One Takes and not yet done a Nissan 240. The ubiquitous RWD tuner car, the Nissan 240 offers a lightweight chassis, independent rear suspension, and nearly infinite tuning options. This one has the common SR20 Turbo engine swap making around 275 HP, upgraded suspension, and is a very well sorted driver offering plenty of thrills at a bargain price.

in the movie, jonnie tran was screwed over by a guy that was supposed to source him a few sr20 motors for his s2000. it was getting close to race wars and he still didnt have his sr20 motors, so he accused him of selling them out from under him. since they would be "worth more" close to a big race event. why tran couldnt just get a couple of sr20's himself, we may never know.ECN

Drift is fun but I prefer the old school Brake And Clutch petal breaking and people use too much E Brake the Japanese people who drift in the mountains don’t really use E brake all the time those who can drift with just the brake petal and clutch petal is pure skill of drifting not the E brake which is way to easy also I like to see a Time Attack S14

SR20DETs have made over 600whp with a stock block! You can safely take them to around 450/500ish on a stocker, and of course this is with a good tuner!

The Mazworx sr22vet drag car makes like 1800hp and does 6 @ 200mph+ so your money is basically the only limit. Reasonable hp is like 300+ with bolt ons, bigger than that and you'll wanna be building the bottom end. There are lots of people that make 500-800, but you can make a reliable, fun 350+ build that'd be fun, streetable and and plenty quick for not too much money.

My brother's B13 SE-R has an SR20VE N/A making 300whp, car is totally stripped down and set-up for drag racing, weighing in at just under 1,900lbs. Best time with the N/A set-up is 11.5 at 120mph. He used to run an SR20DET making about 350whp. The car wasn't as light then, around 2,200lbs, best time with that set-up was an 11.7 at 122mph. Total sleeper, dents, rust, unbelievable fun destroying cars of all kinds. I'd post pictures/videos but can't upload in the comments

Made 462whp waaay back in the day, stock internals and an older tech turbo (GT35) on a log manifold. Guys have made over 700whp with SR23VETs. SR20 strong like bull.
