Balancing Act: Unveiling the Precision Work on the Rotating Assembly! 🏎️⚙️
In this episode, witness the meticulous process of balancing the rotating assembly, a critical step in ensuring peak performance and longevity. The local business takes on half of the balancing work over several days, showcasing the intricacies involved in achieving the perfect balance.
However, the journey takes an unexpected turn as serious miscommunication unfolds, leading to a less-than-ideal situation. It becomes apparent that the establishment isn't fully equipped to complete the engine work, resulting in a decision to entrust the engine to HPE in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Stay tuned for future updates as the engine's journey continues with HPE, and subscribe for a front-row seat to the highs and lows of this precision engineering saga. 🛠️🔄 #BalancingTheEngine #PrecisionWork #RotatingAssembly #EngineBuildingJourney"

Thanks man, after this quarantine lockdown I’ll be picking up the bottom end finally. Got absolutely dicked on the bottom end bill but it’s allgood I know it’ll make the power I’m aiming for. Yeah all those parts were expensive asf and not all of them were the best of the best either.

Hey 👋🏽. I’m working on finishing this build soon. Been a little bit distracted with university life haha. Subscribe to the channel and hopefully I’ll get around to assembling the block and head.

Thanks Man ☺️Good to know what I’m making is relevant. Also with the trigger kit I might stick up some renders of it at some stage or even how to design your own.

nicoxis Hey welcome to the channel👍🏽 Unfortunately after the balancing I had an issue with the company’s work that they did to the block. There will be another workshop completing the bottom end from the 14th of December and some new content coming shortly after this.

@Alex R I’m pretty sure they’re already balanced but got to do it with all of the rotating assembly fitted.

@@AdamNZ dude, please consult ati on this matter) does it really make sense to you to balance something which contains a damping device?))) …. Ati states clearly , do not balnce the crankshaft with our dampers on ) …

@Alex R. I’m sure I read all of the paperwork but I’ll take another look tonight. When I pulled it apart it’s basically a solid chuck of metal with a couple of o-rings. No “real” dampening rubber or anything in there.

@Alex R. Actually I did read the instructions again and it does say not to have the inertia part mounted. But the paperwork was mainly focused for LS engines. I actually got the engine balanced again by another workshop after the fact because these guys in this video were useless. Im not sure exactly how they balanced my engine rotating assembly and its probably been too long to ask them to recall but apparently they are the best in the country. I've kinda had a bad run with this engine and it has definitely cost me a lot more than it should have. But thanks for bringing it to my attention :) .
