VNL is where future superstars are born. I remember when Maja Aleksic is always a second choice because Serbia still had its veteran middle blockers. But look where she's now, dominated and became the best middle blocker in the Italian League. And now, Kurtagic is becoming a new caliber middle blocker of Serbia. Bright future await for her.

The best performance from Serbia side are : Lazovic (serve, defense and attack, all are excellent). She is very smart to decide to do of every chance. Then Pusic. She performed so stunning. Then Uzelac. She just needs to improve her quality of defense. On the other hand, their senior player didn't perform good enough. No.13 was too often tipping the ball. No.8 was too often making errors in setting.

Bravo, girls! The Olympic team is slowly taking shape: Setters: Maja Ognjenović and Bojana Drča, Libero: Teodora Pušić, Opposite hitters: Tijana Bošković and Ana Bjelica, Middle blockers: Maja Alaksić, Jovana Stevanović and Hena Kurtagić/Mina Popović, Outside hitters: Bianka Buša, Katarina Lazović, Aleksandra Uzelac, and Bojana Milenković/Sara Lozo. Regarding the two "dilemmas," honestly, I would give the advantage on middle blocker possition to the best blocker of this year's VNL and the future of Serbian volleyball, Hena Kurtagić. With Maja and Bojana setting her attack, which has always been her weaker side, will be better, although it has been quite good as it is so far. Commenting on her blocking ability is unnecessary; the girl is a beast! So, there's no real dilemma there. Plus, for the first time at these games, it will be allowed for the 13th player to be part of the team as a reserve in case of injury, which would open up a spot for Mina Popović or a second libero. Now, onto the most important, the position of outside hitter. Three are undisputed, and there are several candidates for the fourth spot. Looking at the attack, Sara Lozo. However, team often cannot play due to her reception. In a concept where Buša and Pušić cover the entire court, there might be room for her, but as it is now, I'm not sure. Bojana Milenković is a better receiver, a more stable and secure option. I'm sorry that Mina Mijatović and Branka Tica didn't get a bit more space to show what they can do, to see how well they can perform at this highest world level. Lastly, I believe it's incredible that after introducing the libero position in volleyball, the number of players that teams can take to the Olympics hasn't increased to at least 14.

I'm looking forward to see Branka Tica, Jovana Cvetkovic for OH and Jovana Zelenovic for Opposite. I miss Zelenovic where I could see that she could be better than Bjelica. Serbia need 2000-2004 born players for preparation to 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. I'm tired seeing Bjelica shes not that lethal even though she have a lot of international experience.

@@arnolddarda7694 week 3 roster doesn’t have any player of 1990s generations, only 2000 and younger 🙂 except 1 setter though, she is born in 1999. Perovic/Taubner or Zelenovic Tica/Ivanovic or Mijatovic Malesevic/Sucurovic or Cikuc Gocanin or Pakic Thay are all 2001 generation and younger and some of them are defenitely A team players in new olympic cycle

Serbia dont need her because she has attitude she wants an automatic slot for olympics. How about the others sacrificing to train for the slot in Olympic its unfair to other player who commits themselves to train in national team.

🇨🇦 was supposed to win against a Boskovic-less 🇷🇸, but Serbia’s coach was able to identify Canada’s inexperienced player and made her just the target - coaching matters and 🇨🇦 should learn a lesson here!
