This run I did is pretty good. But I wouldn't go on to claim it as "the best" run. Along with the typical perfect TAS, there are also "human theory" runs, where TAS frame perfect tricks are not used, as to see what could hypothetically be the perfect, humanly possible run. Zenya should honestly make a TAS of it.

1. The 3d models are included as of 2.2.9. You go to settings-> video-> renderer. switch from "software" to "openGL". Then go to openGL settings at the bottom of the list, and switch models to on. (There are also additional models on the message board that either change, or add models to the game.) 2. This *IS* a Speedrun. More specifically, as Metal Sonic, while collecting all 7 chaos emeralds. You can find this run, and many others on speedrun.com . Just search Sonic Robo Blast 2, and you'll find it.

@@HIZZYHUZZAH technically, the option was there since 2.2.2, you just had to install model packs yourself. 2.2.9 added a default model pack for the sake of convenience for newer players. It includes the 6 vanilla characters, every enemy and boss, and a majority of the common objects. If you want models for more objects and modded characters, or change the model of one thing into another, you can download new ones from the SRB2 message board.

@@HIZZYHUZZAH openGL and models are technically part of vanilla. Additional models added don't count as the game being modified either. Think of it like resource packs for Minecraft. They don't change anything regarding the base game mechanics, just how it looks.
