Iam a Biotechnology post graduate. To get a job after Biotechnology in kerala is very tough. After Covid pandemic there is a little progress in job opportunity. Mainly in hospitals there is a new department for molecular biology(mainly PCR test). Otherwise it's too hard .if you try you will get a job as lab technologist on lab.There will be politics as well bcz lab technician course is for MLT. I took this course thinking that It has wide spectrum of job opportunities in hospitals,food industries etc but the truth is in every sector they are looking for specific qualification like in lab MLT, food industries for Food technologists etc. Its better to do Bsc.Biotechnology and then specialize in any one subject for Msc, like Msc genetics, food technology etc depending on your career choice .otherwise it is too hard!!!! (PERSONAL EXPERIENCE)

I'm a biotech postgraduate. In my opinion don't for this course, as opportunities are very rare in our country & I think in abroad too. So choose wisely. You can go for this course, if you are interested in doing research, & that will be a long way process acc to me, like qualifying in CSIR/ any national level exams , enrolling in a good research Institute, getting a decent guide etc etc. So it's better to choose any other job oriented courses.

@@__quran789__ NEET അല്ല. NEET എഴുതുന്നത് MBBS, BDS പോലുളള കോഴ്സുകൾ പഠിക്കാൻ ആണ്. Biotech ന് admssion, അത് നമ്മൾ ചേരാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന കോളേജുകൾ അനുസരിച്ച വ്യത്യാസം ഉണ്ട്. സാധാരണ നമ്മുടെ ചുറ്റുപാടുള്ള കോളേജുകളിൽ ഒന്നും admssion കിട്ടാൻ Entrance ഇല്ല. Merit base ലാവും admission. Mainly, PG ക്ക് admision കിട്ടാനാണ് കൂടുതലും Entrance exams നടക്കുന്നത്. RGCB, RCB, IIT, IISc പോലുള്ള വല്യ വല്യ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെ Masters, PhD ഒക്കെയാണ് നൽകുന്നത്. ചില Autonomous കോളേജുകൾ, University ക്യാമ്പസികൾ, Research സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ ക്ക് മാത്രേ UG Entrance വരുന്നുള്ളു. അതിന് അതാത് സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്ന Entrance exam ഉണ്ട്. അതാ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ Prospectus ൽ എങ്ങാനാണ് admission procedure ന്ന് നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ടവും. ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യം Biotech, Microbio, Food tech പോലുള്ള Lab oriented കോഴ്സുകൾ നോക്കുമ്പോൾ നല്ല ലാബ് സൗകര്യം ഒക്കെയുള്ള കോളേജുകൾ ആണെങ്കിൽ നല്ലതാണ്. നമ്മുക്ക് നല്ല practical experience നേടാൻ കഴിയും.
