I am a fan of Sulamangalam Sisters and have great respect for them. But still I am here to raise a concern. I am none to count their mistakes, as they are at peaks in knowledge and talent. These Sanskrit mantras are not just poetic words. When they are chanted properly, they can create wonders. Solve many problems. But when chanted improperly, may create no/adverse effect. Sanskrit has specific letters for "ka", "kha", "ga", "gha" and "ha". Whereas Tamil has a single letter/symbol for all these. Similarly "pa" & "ba" have single letter in Tamil. "ta" & "da" have single letter in Tamil. "tha" & "dha" have single letter in Tamil. Tamilians pronounce that letter as per their convenience or as per their learning for the specific word. Letter "ksha" is many times pronounced like "cha". Few Tamilians intentionally pronounce wrongly to show their "Tamil" mark. Eg: "Behavior" is pronounced like "begavior" A name "Mohan" can be called "Mokan" and "Mogan" as and they wish. But when it comes to Sanksrit Mantras, it should not be pronounced differently when a specific letter is there. In this video, I happened to hear that glitch quite many times. We rarely find this kind of glitches in Legend MS Subbulakshmi's albums. Conclusion: Respect the mantra. Fear the mantra. Don't play with it. Every Tamilian respects Tamil language, we must appreciate it. My humble request to all Tamil Singers and super singers, respect the other languages what you are singing. PS: No trolling please, if you have a different opinion.
