Namaskarams to you Guruji! Pardon my ignorant and maybe arrogant question. After reflecting on this speech I came to feel --1. The person has already achieved half way of the path when he is brimming with desire to seek the truth. Then the Guru arrives and takes him forward. So looks like the key to start the path comes from within our own heart. is it not? Even though vimalakrithi sparked the fire in naropa that wouldn’t have been the beginning of his desire to learn truth, isn’t so? Because I feel it’s hard to just start searching for truth with so much perseverance based on a chance encounter. Lord indeed blesses some with the desire to seek Guru and HIM. 2. If such is the case then what are common folk like me who are not so desperate as of now, supposed to think of ourself? Sometimes in our own mind games we think we are seekers and we get knocked out when we come across such fables that show the actual rage of fire that leads to the path of disciple and his guru! Of course I’m probably never going to make it to that point I guess.
